I spent a Christmas alone once and absolutely loved it. It was nice to have some "me" time without having to deal with the Hoi Polloi.
How comes you're going to be alone this year? Is there anything fun you can get up to on the day? (hobby or something?) if possible and appropriate try and have as much "fun" as possible; whether if it's relaxing and having a bath or reading a book with some tea.
Interesting - I'm surprised to hear so many don't experience this. I've used Steam chat on Arch and EndeavourOS for years, and I've always found the desktop client to feel a little sluggish, with menus and emoji pickers being particularly finicky. I wonder if it's related to certain desktop environments or specific setups?
