  • I'm very interested in how many posters in this thread are non-virgin men, because I'm not seeing any discussion of how behaviour like this is often absolutely necessary in order to get anywhere with a woman. Every woman I've ever met, including my current gf, has found explicit consent at every step an absolute mood-killer, and I've been rejected multiple times by other women for checking for it. I'm expected to sinply make an advance and give her the opportunity to reject it. I absolutely hate this, but it's reality. I'm sure not all women are like the women I've met, and I don't have hard numbers for you, but it's also how every woman works in every movie, every book, every story about romance, so I'm sure most people reading this post at least understand what I'm referring to.

  • their actual jobs

They don't appear to have actual jobs. I'm sure they have job descriptions on paper, but SCOTUS has been quite clear that they can't be legally compelled to do their jobs, and sure enough, every time I've ever called the police, they've simply refused to enforce the law. The last time was when a police sergeant literally told me that boat theft wasn't a criminal matter.

  • No-one is surprised or acting surprised that the bomb was used, people are upset at how.

  • This article is written like a fever dream. Emphasis mine:

Cracker Barrel faces a critical challenge: Attracting younger diners. Currently, their core customer base are those over 65. Masino, who joined Taco Bell nine months ago, outlined a five-point turnaround plan during a recent earnings call to address this.

  • Missing fifth panel:

  • It means HubertManne had a stroke while typing.

  • Not surprised at law enforcement (the prosecutor) failing to enforce the law, but the silver lining is this sounds like an easily-won wrongful death suit.

  • No-one reputable is going to report on this, but you did some weird searches if you only found Murdoch sources for it. The primary sources on this are, in chronological order:

    1. The Daily Fail, which is owned by Harmsworth and Rothermere, not Murdoch.
    2. The IDF releasing the videos directly (abundant re-sharing meant I failed to find where the IDF originally posted them).
  • Daniel Noboa sounds like a welfare queen. Tax incentives are welfare.

  • Stop linking xkcd without including the alt-text.

  • Generally speaking, every shot you fire in the air is a violent crime of negligence. That bullet is going to return to Earth at still-lethal velocity, largely because no-one ever fires straight up, so really all they're doing is making long distance shots at a target they can't see.

  • Re-read RickyRigatoni's comment.

  • Yes, but the perp showed the images to a minor.

  • You consider it a heinous crime to draw a picture and keep it to yourself?

  • No-one seems.to be discussing the third moose.

OPP said the officers responding to the first collision had also just finished investigating another crash between a car and a moose, but there were no serious injuries in that incident.

  • the person who takes Raisi’s place is going to be really influential

Impossible. President of Iran is a powerless figurehead position.

The next Supreme Leader will be relevant, though.

  • Seems to me they should first focus on curing cis people.

  • Also, what's up with the bizzare incomplete quotations? Is the "as suicide" bit an accurate representation of the quoted source material?

"As suicide" isn't in quotation marks, so it isn't a quote. Anything that is in quotation marks is allegedly a direct quote, while anything outside of quotation marks but added for flow, like as suicide, is allegedly paraphrasing.
