  • The time for making your case was during the primary season. That’s when Democratic voters decide which issues are most important to them.

    People did, and when "Uncommited" was an option, they did it. Then liberals on social media cried how it was supporting Trump to vote in democratic primaries.

    And Harris wasn't an option as the front runner, it was Biden and no one else with above 1%. She was part of the VP ticket, but VPs don't generally decide policies, they're there to break ties in the Senate and as a backup plan if something happens to the President.

    When running, we criticized and people said it would hand the election to Trump. Biden won the biggest tally of votes possible, mine was in there. When mid-terms came up, and we wanted to still help with COVID and the groups it harmed, it was said that handed it to Republicans.

    It feels like its never a good time to ask for something that helps Americans. We vote in primaries, we ask nicely, we protest, we organize, we vote blue no matter who, because Trump is the default of "Fucking never in a million years." and we're still called traitors who want him to win, because we want money sent to Ukraine than Israel's genocide.

    I personally find the ides that if you want an eduction, which is required for modern living, you need to abandon your rights as a citizen. Mandatary and needed public goods shouldn't strip you of your mandatory and needed rights.

    Students have their rights stripped, especially as a child, because some Karens and Kevins didn't want to be a member of the HOA, they wanted to be a school board member.

    Bags searched and confiscated, protests shut down, students having harmless objects taken away out of a nebulous fear of "could maybe do somethig in the future".

    The mods who installed this bot act like its some major service, when all it does is enforce the shifted overton window and acts like news and trends isn't bought and sold to the highest bidder.

    This bot doesn't improve anything, it doesn't make mods jobs easier, it just wastes energy like Bitcoin and AI farms.

  • Nope, most states require either a certain percentage/number of registered voters for a party or a state-wide petition to get onto the ballot. The only 3rd party on all 50 states' ballot is the Libertarian party. The Green party is a distant 4th place, as they often need to regather signatures and new petitions every 2-4 years.

    If a new party was formed for 2028, it might get enough ground in one state, not any to really sway the balance of the Electoral College.

    Do you have a citation on this? Personally I was DVD only until I got an Xbox One, which could play Blurays.

    And we got DVDs because my brother marketed getting a PS2 to my family as a DVD player and a Video Game system, as one of those alone cost the same as a PS2 at the time.

    And we gave up VHS tapes long before, as space is at a premium for us. Worse quality, worse features, more work to rewatch something, bigger format, etc.

    It's not a 1st Amendment violation, and every president has the ability to communicate tot the public 24/7. At least when Windrow Wilson had his 3 AM racist thoughts it wasn't able to get out fast enough for the press secretary to try and bury the lead.

  • Not to deflect blame from Musk, but Jack was just as bad. He openly let Trump ignore the rules and TOS of the website because it got more ad revenue into the site. Trump said the most asinine, racist, sexist, queerphobic, ablest bullshit, but who gives a shit when he's the President?! He got suspended when he made Jan 6th happen. Everything before then was cool because it never got enough bad press.

    Musk made it worse, but Jack is why it was possible in the first place. Jack banned leftists saying queer rights are more important than cishet feelings. Jack banned BIPOC from commenting on white people being openly racist and using slurs, but you called them a cracker once, you get perma-banned.
