Here's the thing: They don't need to get with the times, we don't expect them to. But they should shut the hell up judging others. What's screwed up is the selfishness and lack of empathy for people.
Of course some people of any group will do shitty things like DWI. That's not news. It doesn't tell us anything about the group. This is anecdotal.
But it's shocking that being held accountable is newsworthy. These people operate above the law. Even when not related to their job, they often are. That's fucked
Standing around filming and shouting isn't enough. This looks exactly like how we're letting Ukraine fight for their lives while we're standing around doing very little and calling it support ♥️ 🇺🇦 🕊️
I am so done with these enormous events. Money fucks up everything. FIFA, IOC, Formula 1, (any other sufficiently large international sports organization, tbh), Eurovision, they all suck. Corrupt leadership in the pockets of the worst states: Russia, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Trump's regime, France 😉
