  • I made my first one the other week and it was so good. I have a picture of it in my profile somewhere.

  • Umm, I have some rock salt somewhere around here.

  • Meatloaf is ground beef, and if your smart, pork sausage mixed with some extra seasoning and stuff, shoved in a loaf pan, and baked until fully cooked through. There are different things you can put on top as it's being baked, my personal preference is bbq sauce. My wife likes a can of cream of mushroom soup.

  • One of the best things ever is a proper meatloaf. Something even better is the next day using the leftovers in a sandwich.

  • I do not recommend this for a beginner, but intermediate skill should have no problem. And if you don't have time, save this for the weekend.

But with the cat, I had a bottle of Cabernet Merlot on the shelf, but too close to the edge. Some point in the early morning the bottle found itself on the floor missing it's bottom. I figured one of my cats checked it out and knocked it off.

I didn't use any special ingredients. Sear a chuck roast, cook the onions and garlic, deglaze with half a bottle of red and then reduce around half. Add a few cups of beef stock with fresh rosemary and thyme. I would have added fresh tarragon, but I only had dry. I also used some celery leaf. Meat back in the pot, oven preheat to 325f for two and a half hours. Add carrots and celery and continue for another hour. Once our, I pulled the meat to a serving dish and added a thickener to the sauce. Once thickened, pour back over the meat and enjoy.

  • It was super tender and delicious. I don't have much in the way of poetry for you, but damn it was tasty.

  • When I was in high school they tried to do that, but couldn't get something important for it and instead had a student give a play-by-play over the PA of a drunk accident. Nobody paid attention because it happened between classes.

  • I have ADHD but I don't tire of foods like most people do. Every morning it's the same kind of bagel and I still love the flavor of it. My wife can get tired of the same protein in different dinners, but I'll go a week on chicken before moving to beef.

  • Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!

  • What ever happened to Beakman?

  • Shrimp went in the layers, not on top. Top was extra sauce and a ton of cheese added halfway through baking.

  • Used a white sauce instead of red. A beschemal with shredded Parmesan. Then layered everything together and bake, top with mozzarella, shredded crab, and more Parm and sauce. So freaking yummy.

  • I started screening my phone calls.

  • It was awesome. Granted the iron started glowing a soft red, so I had to remove it, but the whole process was as simple as get fire roaring, place iron, take oout of fire after some time.

  • I got a Wagner at a thrift store and it was covered in a burnt on crust that I couldn't even chip off with a hammer. My mom told me her grandfather used to just throw it in a bonfire and let it all burn off. After watching a video where a guy got rid of the same crust in an oven on self clean mode, I decided to go the bonfire route. I don't have a self cleaning oven. The iron did start glowing red after a while, but once it cooled, no sign of the crust. I was amazed and now that pan acts better than most non-stick I've ever used.

  • My opinion on tech is that there are cool things being done that do one shiney thing, but everyone disregards the shit it produces behind the scenes. Blookchain is an awesome concept, the whole chain depends on all the other parts of it, but the fact that in order to use it, you have to download the whole thing in several systems. The size of a single will grow so large, only a few companies will be able to analyze it at scale. And AI is a huge joke. Nobody should be celebrating generative AI. A ton of computing power that is dangerous to our eco system, and it's all trained on shady material. Nobody is doing anything significant about the power consumption, just coming up with agencies to help companies use AI properly. It's all a joke. Most of our most influencial technologies are just someone asking how to make big bucks off something comes else created for free.
