  • The best cure for being too anxious to go to the library or ride the bus is to go to the library and ride the bus. Your rationales for not doing these things don't hold up, because the entire point of this advice is to help you get used to leaving your house by yourself. Don't make excuses and just go.

  • I think you're reading way more into this than exists

  • Why not close the Baltic to all Russian vessels?

  • I just signed up to give $10/mo to my local PBS station

  • Prices aren't even that high, crude oil's price has been on a steady downward March since the high in 2022

  • Other people here are saying your friends are shitty, but I don't think you should jump to that conclusion. People are naturally a little put off by things they don't understand, and the general public absolutely does not understand schizophrenia. Have you tried telling them that you're still the same person you were before and how them distancing from you makes you feel? To them, it feels like something has changed, but in reality nothing has changed. You can help them realize that. You communicating with them about this is probably the only way to make things better

  • No, they're much older than that, and in England they just call them "muffins " I thought maybe they coined the term "English muffin," but apparently not:

References to English muffins appear in U.S. newspapers starting in 1859, and detailed descriptions of them and recipes were published as early as 1870.

  • Well that's a quick path to revolution

  • I think we're going to be learning a lot over the next 10 months and the midterm elections play out. I also think that while Trump can cause immense damage with the power he has right now, a pretty large majority of the US population disapproves of what he's doing, and as he continues to overstep his hand, he's losing more support. I really do believe his days are numbered. What comes after is definitely a question...

  • Oh my god, where does Donald Trump think we get our food from? We import so much food from Mexico. I live in Texas, and probably 75% of the produce in our stores is imported from Mexico. Does the man expect us to eat nothing but corn and soybeans?!

  • They money guys ain't that crazy to let Europe bankrupt the US Treasury in one fell swoop.

Right-wing tech billionaires talk openly about their "network state" goal, two aspects of which include sidelining sovereign currency and weakening/destroying existing governmental institutions

  • He's on trial in the Southern District of New York. 20 out of 25 judges in this district were appointed by Democrats. They specialize in white-collar crime and high-profile federal cases, and they aren't going to go easy on the prosecution

  • So what happens when the DOJ entirely fails to competently prosecute this case? Is he ordered released, and then the Trump Admin illegally jails a foreign leader? I just have a feeling this is going to go very poorly for the Trump Admin

  • Rice is just fancy grass, too. So are oats, barley, and rye. All fancy grass

  • I'll bite. Tell me what "norwood" means to you

  • I think the joke is that it's gibberish

  • How about opening Florida's coastline

  • Ms. Hill said that she went to Moscow in person to reject the idea.

    Love it
