  • 2+5=8 quick maths (please don't fix it, thanks. Hope you're having a good one)

  • When you're right, you're right

  • I love our wife

  • What's not fun is how many developers' jobs are in jeapardy.

  • Sounds pretty good to me, too

  • I love when my search will just lie to me sometimes. I wonder how new generations will approach this, without having known what regular search is first?

  • Bonus points if you make this trick work during grace without everyone looking at you immediately.

  • Don't wake them

  • I've definitely seen angry people respond to windows bug reports on various apps. Is the Linux community worse? Anectodally, I would agree with you. Its also fine to have a preference, and I understand needing to besmirch your own because some people on Lemmy are toxic particularly around open source projects, but like, I try to not stoop to that level. I am happy youve generally had a good time bug fixing in Windows, unfortunately I switched away because my graphics drivers regularly crashed on Windows and I've never had said issue on Bazzite. Could it be my fault somewhere? Sure. I've had a better time since I left, though. Guess I'm a fart sniffer. Just wanted to voice that not everyone has had this experience, is all. Have a good one, hope you cheer up.

  • I'm on a 5090 and bazzite has (in the majority of games and apps) just worked.

  • Protonvpn has a flatpack. Check your distro's app store for it.

  • I think virtualdesktop works, but don't quote me on that.

  • Many people will definitely go back, but the percentage staying might be better this time around. Linux has gotten a lot more usable and stable for those tech inclinced enough to be able to install it thanks in part to proton, immutable distros, flatpacks, Wayland, and improved defaults. Mint and bazzite are pretty darn good for daily use. I've never stayed on Linux as long as I have with this run, and I really don't feel much of a push to leave it. Most everything I want to do just works.

  • Their comment seemed like it was in good fun then you brought out the toxicity. Chill, buddy.

  • Others.

  • Let the parasites cook, maybe they can fix it

  • If the community reacts super strongly to this before framework even has the chance to properly investigate, respond, and react to this kind of issue, why would they ever want to risk investing in open source projects in the future? Come on, people. Give them time and if you have to hate on a company hate on the bigger ones that do these sorts of things on purpose and get away with it. I understand informing Framework and putting pressure on them to fix things, but there's such a thing as going too far.

  • Can't wait for CMF to start becoming a premium brand then spin off another subbrand for budget devices

  • Okay, outside of the title every time they say "fastest" they follow it up with "at iso power" which apparently means equivalent or same. So they're basically saying they're the most efficient twice, but they creatively used the word faster like they are an industry leader in more than one metric when they're not.

Also I have a feeling their claims won't even be accurate if someone installs windows on a recent macbook, which is why I suppose they are also only comparing to windows native devices.
