  • So generally I do the following fasting schedule

    • Daily: 18hr fast
    • weekly 24hr fast
    • monthly 48hr fast
    • quarterly 72hr fast
    • yearly 120hr fast

I don't water fast as hydration is really important for good health and prolonged fasts make it really easy to get dangerously dehydrated.

How is it for me? Often the 24 hr fasts are the most difficult for me as a lot of hunger signals persist for me during that time, generally after that point I am all gravey.

For the quarterly and yearly fasts I try and line these up with time off from work because I like to do a lot of reflection and creation during these times for me. The reflection is usually pretty good, creation... well... results have varied.

  • Wow - it literally seems like all the things!

    thanks!

  • yeah, this is my hesitancy for using it for gaming. Most of the other stuff it may work.

I'm taking a new look at stoat and maybe donating to them as well.

I thought I read they plan to do E2EE but it doesn't yet.

  • Likely I can get everyone on board with Signal for voice.

Zulip would be for updates on other games / scheduling / event planning.

Fohndary would be just for VTT

and the CMS would be for a personal blog.

All separate but if able to run off of one server that would be ideal.

  • Been looking for ease of use and a few people just are adverse to matrix, hoping Zulip would be a hit easier for them but I don't know yet

  • Privacy @lemmy.ml

Any experience with Zulip (and some other questions)?

  • A conspiracy one might even call it

  • Of course, was grateful for everyone sending ideas, I eventually was tooling around in my. monitor settings to see I'd I could reset something.

I just started going with my general philosophy of 'what does this do?' and flip back if something undesirable / unnoticeable happened.

was honestly shocked when I stumbled upon it as I don't recall switching the input version for the monitor.

  • I was able to fix by changing the input version on the monitor (though I don't recall switching it).

This all happens before the OS / graphics driver loads.

so initial mobo splash, grub, and bios if I enter that screen.

  • I think so unless it does a switch at some point. I'll take a look and update when I'm on the CPU later today.

  • Not currently but I think I can track one down.

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

How do I fixed my borked BIOS screen?

  • bitwig is great, it is my favorite DAW that I've used (Logic and Ableton were previously used by me).

I really enjoy the flexibility and creativity I get with the grid.

  • A fish doesn't know its wet

  • I use RPi5 for this and have it hooked up to steam link.

can stream at 4k with no issue.

  • awesome, that's good to know.

  • I'll give it distrobox a shot. On the main box using Garuda I've been trying the dragonized version and had a lot of "odd" graphical issues with the DE.

these weren't present when I was using plasma with Debian ( which only was smooth once I switched it to be used by the GPU as well). This is another reason why I've been considering the switch.

  • I've done a fair bit of tinkering so I'm sure I can get it to work.

  • Neat!

I've been running Garuda on my main rig for a minute. I thought all would be good but some of my music production stuff has been a bit slow to catch up as far as updates in the AUR vs the official .deb releases (and I haven't tinkered enough to just make that work myself).

Being able to install .deb otb seems nice; I was planning on running a new framework 12 laptop on it (which I dream of getting for a new performance rig for my music) but I may install it on my current performance rig to see how it runs.

How well does it play with nvidia? If it's all good and I eventually switch on my main rig I'd love to be able to run a local GPU supported AI. I know that for nvidia I have to have drivers that support cuda stuff.
