  • GOP nazi infighting over conspiracy theories instead of focusing against trans people like the Christian faction initially wanted is epic and should not be messed with. At the same time though a possible takeover of the GOP by the nazi wing like Bannon etc may be way worse long term.

    The surreal irony is that Tyler was such a lukewarm wildcard that he may have huge negotiating power and regardless of his real motives, even with basic lawyer support he could threaten to publicly claim that he was a groyper or an Israeli asset in exchange for all sorts of stuff. He's already heading for the death penalty so what are they gonna do? Kill him earlier by suicide and convince everyone that it was really a conspiracy? He can even play dumb during the trial and do some tell all interview afterwards if he doesn't get a lighter sentence.

    So this may also be preemptive damage control by GOP pawns and Israel in case Tyler does one or the other, which also looks suspicious and "confirms" conspiracy theories. I love it.

Unless I'm missing something I don't think he'd stand out compared to Crowder or Jordan Peterson on this specific subject. And it's suspicious that the roommate isn't more prominent in there but mostly absent even though they apparently knew right from the beginning. Which would imply a deal.

This is almost a standard profile of lone wolf political assassins of conscience but people love conspiracy shit too much to remember Leon Czolgosz etc.

    Then again transphobia wasn't Charlie Kirk's primary grift and I'm not aware of him pushing that lately, Matt Walsh is the head transphobe so this version doesn't fully fit either. Both versions could likely be total copium and the whole thing probably seems strange because everyone is completely alienated and can't imagine violent, self destructive but altruistic acts without reading a ton of theory first or being a rabid neonazi. Maybe it's an answer to the question "what would you do if you were in Nazi Germany in 1933" by someone who wasn't political enough to seek organized action and wait for the conditions to be right first and all the usual crap that paralyze the left.

  • There's definitely going to be a good piece tracking his history sooner or later but he wasn't just some random far right streamer. He popped up basically out of nowhere in 2012 when he was 18, had donors that helped him fund TPUSA. I faintly remember that he had some vague association with the Tea Party and it was primarily libertarians spamming quotes of him, very astroturfed popularity. I'm not entirely sure but he may have been the first one doing this debate libs, trigger libs then post the vid grift and Shapiro followed as another "conservative youth".

    It's nuts to say this but I suspect that this was a GOP strategy to get young voters after Ron Paul accidentally became a meme on 4chan and gained some half-ironic following there. Kirk, Shapiro etc were basically provocateurs for hire with extreme positions but their views shifted depending on who was funding them. Part of the Koch Bros online agitator ecosystem. He wasn't religious until much later when he had an "awakening" and I think he didn't support Trump at first either.

    ToiletpaperUSA on reddit has good stuff on his history. These people including Crowder, Molyneux etc were fringe shockjocks for pay and floated to the surface during the gamergate and Trump's 2016 campaign. It's hard to believe they got to be GOP media frontliners and so prominent that one would get assassinated like that because they all started as an intentionally extreme opposition to radlib woke SJWs etc and nobody took them very seriously.

    If anyone tracks or remembers the rhetoric strategies of the Trump and Clinton campaigns back in 2016 and sees how initially fringe debate assholes like Charlie Kirk were positioned then the whole republican to fascist groupshift will become far more clear. Wild that it took less than a decade. I don't think this trend will decline post Trump.

  • Didn't see the original comment that was deleted and most likely not the case here but the "no HRT necessary" or "it's valid not to be on it/totally optional" type of argument also sometimes comes from people who may be gnc, gq, gf, nb etc with mild or no gender dysphoria and are usually in pretty safe and accepting social contexts. Or they're fine with some invisible cis presentation and don't feel they need it themselves. It feels more like they're defensive and worried about their own "true transness" getting questioned or something. I've had this exact argument a bunch of times and it seems like the opposite and equally tone deaf reaction to the transmed crap. Both need way more perspective taking, we don't all have the same needs or ability to be just fine without going on HRT or trying to get it for years.

It used to be common sense that you can't be publicly incendiary and an extremist agitator against marginalized minorities unless you had damn good security.
