I was told Ubuntu was a good beginner distro and used it for like a year and then towards the end of that year things got weird. So since then I've moved to arch, because it rolls so much and I don't keep up, it's even more unstable. I got some other laptops running bazzite (fedora based) and they seem ok.
So yeah, like your edited comment, I would recommend fedora or even vanilla Debian.
Every time I hear "backdoor". Shit fucking enrages me. Do you want a "backdoor" for anything secure? You want a little backdoor anybody can walk in through in your state of the art safe?
If you have a backdoor it aint secure anymore. Piece of shit motherfuckers
The post was a person with a work visa not a citizen. This is not to say that the US is the safest place to be. My US citizen cousin very recently came to live in the US and they were born and living in a different country for most of their life and they haven't had any hiccups.
I would probably not come in during Trump's rule when there are other countries but you do you.
Perhaps my line of thinking is way too anarchist. But what I'm saying is once the cat is out of the bag, there's no putting it back in. People who want guns can get guns. They can get their friends to legally purchase them. All the school shooters had legal firearms so I would imagine a terrorist could obtain one.
To keep the peace it's all or nothing. Nobody has weapons or everybody has weapons. Since the former is pretty hard to achieve, the latter must happen.
I started on here almost 2 years ago and it has grown rapidly, I'm very impressed.
2 years ago, you could knock out all the content on here in a few minutes, now, there's so much content and even stuff bleeding in from Mastadon at times.
Edit: make something good and people will come, Facebook, ig, snapchat, etc started off at 0 as well.
Who are the 3 people downvoting? This is very true and I don't see it ever changing as long as humans are humans. Pretty much all religions say treat each other nicely and don't kill. But then why are there war profiteering companies around?
