  • Bernie lost because the DNC screwed him over. Calling him a racist is one of the many ways that they did that.

I agree that voters prioritize other issues over labor, but the Democratics refuse to take action on those issues as well. Maybe they could try doing what the voters want for a change, and see if people come out to support them.

  • What are you talking about? The Democratic leadership hasn't been giving the voters the policies that they want for my entire lifetime. They Democratic leadership gives their doners the policies that they want, but they've been pretty open about not caring about their voters.

Maybe if the Democrats stopped putting up awful candidates, who run awful campaigns based on awful policies, then people would come out and vote for them.

  • Hey now, the previous Democrats haven't been doing nothing....

They've also been building out the systems that the facists use, and reaching across the aisle in support of the fascists. That's hard work!

  • I'm sure it was the lack of a penis that cost Hillary and Kamala the elections, and not awful campaigns that they ran into the ground.

Sexism is indeed a problem, even in a presidential race, but lets be honest about why they really lost: They were terrible candidates, who ran terrible campaigns, based on terrible policies.

  • We had a choice between one monster, and another (there were other options, but both monsters fought to keep the non-monsters off the ballot). Sure, one monster was a bigger, meaner monster, but the other monster was still pretty damn evil. Maybe next time we should be allowed to pick someone that isn't evil, for a change.

It will never cease to amaze me that people blame the voters for being disgusted with the candidates, rather than blaming the parties for choosing such awful candidates.

  • The Democrats refusing to acknowledge the desires of the voters, and actively screwing over workers is how we ended up with Trump. The Democrats are "better", but only in the sense that they aren't going to fix the problems that led to fascism. They've shown over and over that they'd rather support fascism, then fight against it.

  • Well then maybe the Democrats should do somthing to counter that claim. Maybe something like not supporting fascism, and actually fighting against it when they have the chance.

  • A cold fast food burger would have been miles ahead of what we were offered. Democrats wouldn't even say "Genocide is bad, and we shouldn't support it". They continuously gaslight Americans on the economy. They support the bombing of kids, and torture programs. They expand out the Republican's surveillance programs.

It's not a choice of a burger vs shit, it's a vomit vs shit

  • "halfway-kind-of-decent-sometimes"

You mean the same person that refused to say "Genocide is bad, and we shouldn't support it"? The same person who proudly stood behind Biden when was bombing innocent people? The same person who put people in prison for marijuana, then laughed about it when talking about smoking herself? The same person who campaigned with the Cheneys?

I think your definition of "halfway-kind-of-decent-sometimes" might be different than mine. All we're looking for is someone who isn't a monster, and she couldn't even pull that off.

This is why the Democrats keep losing, and have such a low approval rating: They keep normalizing monsters, and can't figure out why the voters don't like that.

  • Hey now, don't undersell them

They also helped build out a lot of the systems that the fascists are using, and reached across the aisle to support the facists.

  • Them: "The Democrats keep lying to us and screwing us over, WTF?!?"

Me: "Well, you keep announcing that you will vote for them, even though they keep doing that, right?"

Them: "Yes, but I can't figure out why keep lying to us and screwing us over"

    Me: "..."

  • Why would I have to convince myself of something that I clearly did?

  • LoL, that wasn't the original internet. That was years after the internet had been around.

<joke here about these kids needing to get off my lawn>

  • Many times in my life I've looked outside to see the sunrise and thought "Huh, I guess I should go to bed"

  • Correct, but it is super easy to look at the data and come to that conclusion.

  • Of course they never had a chance to win. Americans care more about their team winning, then they care about stopping things like Genocide or War. Always have, and probably always will.

  • I agree with you mostly, except for this part:

We could have moved Harris if she knew she didn't have enough of the bases support on this issue.

I'm pretty sure the polling was out already, and she knew that she didn't have support. But she cared more about money and building out the War Machine, than she cared about winning the election.

  • How many did Harris lose by? Was it enough that 3rd party votes mattered?

I didn't vote against Genocide and The War Machine because I thought we would win. I voted against them because they are evil.
