  • I think people will still “contribute” because they also don’t care that their use of certain platforms leaks data used to target ads at them.

In the same vein though, once AI essentially destroys a site like Stack Overflow, where will AI companies source new training data with updated information? Also, we are likely to see something like 50% of content being AI generated. Are AI models then going to train on the content they themselves created? What is the impact of that? What is the use?

  • Didn’t Russian soldiers dig trenches in Chernobyl recently and end up sick?

  • How about an FBI investigation with Venmo receipts?

  • Why does the media just gobble this up? It takes an act of Congress to make a new department. DOGE is bullshit.

  • I like Adam Jensen myself

  • This is where the real meltdown begins. Just wait until they do this in multiple places around the world and create mayhem.

  • America has abdicated its role, and that role will be filled

  • Does Biden even have it? It was a house investigation.

  • Is this because Elon now has political power?

Pretty shocking that Disney would do this after Elon gave Disney CEO a “fuck you”

  • I have a little respect for him because he refused to give in to Trump’s demands to mess with the certification process on January 6th.

I disagree with him on most everything, but he is a principled person. More than you can say for Trump.

  • It’ll be the first time in his life he is not the boss. That’ll likely lead to a problem.

  • Temu is like NAFTA for American “business” people.

You cut out the factory worker first, then cut out the American importer.

  • Someone ought to put this future serial killer out before he starts his career on humans.

  • Once I interned in Washington DC.. you start to understand the mindset there. Everyone all over the US blames DC for the dysfunction in our government. However, the opposite is true, you people sent these dysfunctional people to DC, so really it’s your fault.

Same thinking here. Most government bureaucrats are well-educated caring individuals who are really passionate about their subject area. Expecting them to tolerate a toxic workplace because the American people can’t choose competent leaders is unfair.

  • I think the problem is Mastodon makes it hard to find people to follow. I can’t even find mainstream media official accounts, let alone an actual celebrity. The discovery features need to be improved.

Meanwhile on BlueSky I instantly see every major news outlet in my main feed.

  • I’m guessing this is somewhat of a Hail Mary play for his career given that the walls are closing in on the ethics probe and him making plenty of enemies.

  • Yeah I’m sure senators will respond well to threats — as well as some house members did to threats from Gym Jordan to make him Speaker.

  • My boss says “you’ll”

  • Not disqualifying
