I was in a really bad place, mentally, while on the road a couple years back. Had a dual sport motorbike and decided to be really, really reckless in the middle of the desert in Terlingua, TX. Ended up nose diving into a hole, smashing my face on my windshield, and eating a lot of sand. Busted my goggles, the windshield, and the clutch lever was toast.
When I finally got up and started to lift my bike off the ground, I found a bunch of peculiar tiny rocks near where I had kicked up all the dust. Ran a magnet over them, and sure enough they were meteorite fragments. Made a necklace out of one and took the others back to camp with me and gave them to my traveling partners at the time.
If you're ever in that area, do yourself a favor and check out Agua Fria. Cowboy camping out there is magnificent, and the natural spring it's named after is, well, very aptly named. Very quiet and it might just change your life.
Still has enough pedo vibes to make it hard to suggest this film to others. Sucks, because outside of that it's a good movie with great acting from Oldman. Kind of like how Irreversible is also an excellent movie, if it weren't for the 9-minute long uncut/realistic rape scene.
I was making a comment about women and children being at ranges, not that people are gate-keeping ranges themselves. The comment I replied to was implying that red state folks have something against women learning to use guns.
It's been extremely common through my whole life to see all ages and genders learning to shoot, especially in the red states, which is the opposite of what the comment was trying to say.
Same. My first thought is the dead thing is snu (reddit's mascot) and the Mona Lisa has something to do with the recent Louvre heist? Or maybe some commentary on reddit training AI with user data?
Being in this community, it probably also has something to do with, "see how easy it is to draw something original without AI?" This is certainly original.
People will just use this as confirmation bias of whatever they want to believe about the bible.
Methinks this is the point, create silo'd echo chambers that are tailored to the individual's biases. They can't possibly keep up with all the different denominations and their particular spin on interpreting the bible, nor do they care to. AI, though, can hallucinate any confirmation desired and be convincing while doing it.
I grew up in a red family, in a red state. Everyone went to the gun range, including the women and children. It was encouraged, not gate-kept behind their strange gender rules. Probably the only thing that wasn't.
This is the first I've ever seen them, likely a newer marketing thing
