A friend I met as an adult. He had a pretty rough life growing up, his family was homeless and roamed around a lot, he was supposed to be 'homeschooled' but was really taking care of his parents during that time, so he never really had an education, obviously never went to college, etc.
He fell into learning programming as a teenager and started working when he was 16 as a web programmer. Now in his 30's, he makes more money than anyone I've personally known and I'm so freaking happy for him. A lot of bullshit people like to brag that they're 'self made' when they own companies, or are CEO's, etc. And this guy is like the most humble, kind and well adjusted person I've ever known, and he did it all himself. Super greatful to be his friend and have him in my life.
Its only a victory if we can ensure they don't attack another city in 2 weeks.
I'm actually not happy they're cooling their aggression because it feels like they're just letting the boiling pot cool for a sec, we need the heat to keep coming to keep people angry and engaged enough to not fall back into apathy and putting their heads in the sand again. Just like school shootings, if you wait long enough, Minnesota will just be another school shooting that people shake their heads over and go back to doing whatever they were doing.
Huh, haven't heard of Bezelbub mod, I'll have to check if its compatible with DevilutionX the open source reimplementation of Diablo 1. I played DevilutionX on my steamdeck, but got stuck in beginning of nightmare as my character wasn't powerful enough to continue.
Apparently they will try to connect to open networks and try to tunnel through to get internet, so I set bogus manual DNS, gateway, and ip info so it can't connect to anything correctly.
...given all the things he's done so far, do we really think its fair giving him the benefit of the doubt on such a statement? I think we all know damn well what he meant. As far as I know he specifically referred to himself both as a king and a dictator, multiple times in 2025.
🤷♂️ here's to hoping it wakes some people up when the fear is about the very person they voted for and gave money to, not from liberals, trans people, homeless, etc etc. The nefarious "others". Their guy is the one making them feel fear now. Not from others but from him directly.
I hope that if his supporters feel fear from this, they'll have some Introspection that he'll turn on even the people supporting him. Just like Hitler, no one is immune from turning against by the great dictator, the inner circle continues to get smaller and smaller until its just the dictator...
It probably will happen, I'm pretty sure Hitler labeled people against him as having a mental disorder and used that as a further excuse to arrest. Can't find much about it now because anything entered into google even hinting at mental disorder and Hitler or Third Reich comes up with articles questioning Hitler's sanity.
Anyway, Its how they control and dehumanize, just say you're not mentality fit because you're against dear leader.
I have a bunch of belkin wemo, tp-link kasa and some other off brand smart switches that I use with home assistant locally. The problem I see here, is that as far as I know you still need the manufacturers app to link the smart switch to your network for the initial set up. The second they abandon the apps and stop updating them, people are gonna have problems. If you ever need to reset the switch, or change your WiFi SSID/password, or you move and have to set up the devices anew, you still need the manufacturers apps to do that initial set up.
I'm really hoping someone builds an app or service that can handle the initial handshake to get the device on your network from the initial WiFi hotspot they set up for their phone app to do its thing.
I agree, but FYI I wasn't trying to contort talking points by saying 'seems'. I just hadn't had time to watch the video with 100% attention to say that was happening for sure. Obviously the person is, after taking another look.
