  • Yeah also generally young people dont like the toxic self-harming alcohol culture. And women become way more emancipated, and tend to drink less.

    Alcohol really sucks as a drug so I am really happy about that.

    Störtebeker makes some really nice alcohol free beer, I like "Atlantik" which tastes very strongly of hop.

    This is about residue after the carbohydrates in grains were converted into alcohol or whatever and the protein is left

    Ich würde das gerippte Produkt bei selber Auflösung mit AV1 encoden, Audio wahrscheinlich unverändert lassen oder mit opus, um Platz zu sparen. Das Original könnte man aber auf ne HDD tun.

    Zum encoden benutze ich ffmpeg und ein shell script. Das trac.ffmpeg.org wiki hat infos zu vernünftigen Parametern zb für den denoise Filter.

  • BluRay Player die mit "Libre"Drive kompatibel sind, sind auch extrem gefragt.

    BluRays haben DRM, können mit speziellen Playern und einer angepassten Firmware (die immer noch unfrei ist, aber halt mehr Freiheit gibt) gerippt werden, also der komplette Inhalt mit 6-facher Geschwindigkeit heruntergezogen werden.

    Wirklich analoge Medien haben (außer eventuell Venyl, CDs und sehr teuren Nichen-Produkten wie Cinematic Tape) halt meist ne ziemlich schlechte Qualität, und vor allem können sie nicht geteilt werden.

    Digitale Dateien schon, damit gehen alte Dinge dann auch nicht verloren.

    Es gibt auch super viele Codecs, Container und Tools mit denen man Filme und Musik verkleinern kann, um aus einer 40GB BluRay ein 1,xGB Film gemacht werden.
