  • For a proper plate of pasta you should at least get +40. If you cooked it yourself maybe even +1 skill point. If you fed someone, "you are now friends".

  • So... for a clueless person like me - how do I use this?

  • What would you like to achieve? Would OpenSnitch be of assistance?

  • Tbf, this style is glorious!

  • Her fingers are really long...

  • Ubuntu as well. I wish I could say OpenSuse...

  • I agree. OpenSuse should set the standards in this.

Tbf, they really need a designer to upgrade this visually a bit. It exudes its strong "Sys Admin only" vibes a bit much. In my opinion. 🙂

  • Makes sense. Would packaging like Flatpak or AppImage be an option? Or just make sure it runs with Wine? Probably all not that straightforward.

  • Not really related to the issue. If I understand correctly, your device isn't bricked, but freezes. A bricked device doesn't boot anymore, a frozen device is unresponsive. Or am I misunderstanding this?

  • Same here.

Game performance on Linux isn't always the best. So I'll keep a Win10 around.

Are Linux ports of games so hard to do? Genuine question. I am not a games dev.

  • Are "brother" the nice guys at the moment?

  • Why would you care whether random kids in a bus discus your "coolness"?

  • I close the website. Didn't miss an essential website (or app, for that matter) so far.

  • That is from a time when birds were still real.

    Such a horrifying disaster!

  • I must buy a printer soon. Thank you for reminding me to avoid HP products.

  • Isn't this basically the same as Android's theft detection lock?

  • One might argue that people preferng to be alone is a symptom of the problem - if the motivation is to avoid stress and frustration.

On the other hand, if being alone is used in a balanced way as a form of self-care in a noisy world that demands so much of us, it can be healthy.

In the end, I would say, it all depends on whether this solitude feels empowering or isolating.

  • First of all: congratulations. Seriously. This is awesome! Secondly: you designed the most Steampunk looking heart you could. Bravo, truly a capital marvel of fine craftsmanship.

  • Can't see anything I disagree with in her statements. Imo she's spot on. The near future looks even bleaker now.
