  • I love/hate their website. It reminds me of early 00 warez sites, but, as you say and testers report, it does a good job debloating and speeding things up. I'm so fed up with windows at this point I'm not sure a slimmed down and or privacy focused windows install will cut it. I'm this close to taking the dive and going to daily driving Linux.

  • I like the cut of this man's jib.

  • Meds I actually do alright with, mostly because I don't function without them.

  • You have a routine? Man, just be nice. I forget to blink if I'm too distracted.

  • Pretty sure it's a jpegxl and, in my case, using brave as my default browser and Voyager as my Lemmy app produced the same thing (a low quality picture). Tracking down the url of the pic in brave yielded the same results, however, the identical url in Firefox yielded the full definition picture. Jpegxl uses the same container .jpg and can serve a lower definition of itself as it loads in full. The rollout for that codec and adoption is happening like right now. So that's my guess.

  • That's a weird way to spell spyware.

  • I do have some friends that want to call every errant behavior some neurodivergance, and it does irk me a little, but also, in the case of ADHD (and others), the masking often makes it really hard to diagnose or even understand what's going on under the hood for someone sometimes, so I try to give behavior like that a lot of leeway. And also always encourage people to get evaluated. I'm also also just starting to come to terms with I'm pretty sure my mother has ADHD and is really good at masking.

  • Love skeptchick and it's amazing that's she's in the Epstein files (because she hassles and calls out sex predators)

  • A body mod artist does literally wound you, it's not paint. It's plugs cut out, sub dermals inserted, or just ears pierced if you're vanilla, that's the sort of thing they do.

  • Listen, it's not that i hate being told what to do, it's that I don't like my generosity to be taken advantage of... Also sometimes I hate being told what to do

  • I'd encourage you to make it a priority and get evaluated if possible. Having access to medication or just targeted treatment has made a world of difference to me.

  • I've never been one to journal but it looks really cool. Thank you for taking the initiative!

  • Bad for capitalism maybe, but potentially great for the environment

  • Go out. That's the end of the article title

  • Yeah I was high performing, best test taker in our graduating class, highest act score, one of the lowest gpas... I got called lazy a lot. But that never made sense to me because I was incredibly passionate about things and would toil away for weeks on some project, but you couldn't make me care about homework, you couldn't make me listen to a lecture, you couldn't stop me from sleeping in class, and neither could I. It did make me feel very different from my peers.

  • I never understood willful ignorance, it's gotta be better to know. And to have the diagnosis, being able to access directed care, have been life changing. I went through all those feelings growing up, knowing I was different, but not having the framework to know it was ADHD and what that meant and not being able to access treatment, it was rough. My kid got diagnosed when he was 9 as soon as it was evident he likely had it as well, he will not go through the same hardships I went through.

  • It's the day after Halloween, my breakfast was Adderall, coffee, and haribo gummies

  • I had a friend who was working with a very exciting bioplastic that in the end was completely scrapped because it turned out the plastic made was carcinogenic or poison or something. I have hopes for something to come and replace plastic but we definitely need to make sure what we replace it with isn't just as awful is some new and terrible way.... Or just the same and terrible ways.

  • Yeah I can believe being a stupid drunk soldier getting a skull tattoo not knowing what it was. But then not making the first possible appointment to cover the fucking Nazi symbol as soon as you realized this? Nah. I hate this shit.
