  • There are a couple of pricey delivery cookie places by my house.

I never used them before, but I was curious how much cookies actually cost these days. Getting a single cookie is $2.50 in-store, delivery is $7, so getting that single cookie delivered would be $9.50.

Getting a single cookie, however big, is crazy so you have to get two right? So that is $13. Then a tip and taxes, and damn that’s an expensive set of cookies.

  • Some sign up for tuition, some have nowhere to go because there is no safety net or better options. Some people just succumb to propaganda or have a family history. Many enlisted before his second term.

I dunno, I’m super against any war, but you can’t assume they are all blood thirsty mercenaries. People have complicated situations, and even through I knew Trump round 2 would be corrupt, I did underestimate how maliciously terrible he could be.

They should be fed. They should be home. Politicians are to blame. One in particular, but there is plenty to go around.

  • I recently called a contractor to do some work on my house. The first call to them was fielded by an ai assistant who couldn’t answer the questions I had about if they even did jobs like the one I had.

After a few rounds I gave up and ended the call. Then I get a text shortly after from their system trying to reengage me.

I ignored that too, as they were starting to piss me off.

Then, about ten minutes later I get a voice call from them, and it is a human! Yay! I ask her my question and quickly find out she is in a call center and also can’t tell me if they even work on jobs like the one I have.

This was my first and last experience with that company.

I see that as the way most companies will go. Poorly slapped together ai experiences, a workforce that is an army of contractors, and no one to help at the end of the day with anything mildly outside the box. This will be normalized, companies will spend less on people and get worse results.
