I will say it's a little ironic you mentioned Veritasium considering the channel was literally bought into by a corporation focused and maximizing revenue of YouTube channels. Good content, sure, but I think it's indicative of exactly what's wrong with the platform as a whole.
Also, to everyone and no one, if you like the content from Technology Connections, Veritasium, etc., AlphaPhoenix is likely your speed, too.
I lost my best friend of 20+ years just before Christmas, I just wanted to say I think it's really cool you're keeping your buddy's memory alive. I hope to do the same some day.
It's pretty rare to see another human in so much obvious pain and feel absolutely zero empathy for them. He's definitely earned it though, I don't even feel bad for not feeling bad.
I doubt that would be a make or break requirement for getting hired somewhere but it definitely could be the thing that differentiates you from another candidate applying for the same job.
Honestly you should go ask the mechanics at your local shop for their opinion. They are usually pretty personable and the few I've met were very eager to help new guys get started in the trade. Could also pay off when looking for a job later if they keep you in mind.
Nah, the point is to get a sweetheart deal when they inevitably file for bankruptcy because they are a budding energy company taking big risks on new tech, not a media company hemorrhaging money at an unsustainable rate, silly goose!
The projected "battery only" range seems the same, so maybe not? It's all just dreams on paper at this point, we'll have to see what actually makes it to market.
The newer models already have the option to enable Google assistant and interface with it via a microphone in the remote control. Sounds like it's no longer an optional feature and is being AI enshittified.
No way all of this over a paltry 680,000 gallons of water per.. oh wow, really? Per acre?? WTF? Ok ok, but how many.. HOLY SHIT, 90 million acres?! WTF?!
Dude that's absolutely insane! ~61,000,000,000,000 gallons of water per year and that's JUST America!
No one taught me how to fix a car or paint a fence, yet I can do both. So can countless others with no such training across literally the entire spectrum of human capability.
People who claim they don't do housework because they 'were never taught how' are just feigning incompetence. I bet the vacuum becomes much less mystifying if I tie a $1000 prize to its successful operation, for example.
Man, I mean, that kind of is the ugly truth, isn't it? Some people actually can excuse racism and pedophilia if it means there's a shot at personal gain. I'm not surprised, really, just wholly disgusted.
