  • AFAIK geothermal is not renewable, in other words, all of the underground heat is just stored there from the formation of earth, but once consumed, it doesn't regenerate.

That's why i'm not a big fan of geothermal.

  • it depends on whether that tree is re-planted.

  • thank you for this reasonable analysis :-)

Indeed, what matters is the long-term perspective. And for that, only resources mined from underground make a lasting difference.

  • here, you dropped something: /s

  • ... for they have become one with their fursona.

  • I'm trying to get out of bed.

... how do I move again?

  • Oh well, I guess you're right about that.

  • Yeah, I've thought similar.

Probably, the only real intensive labour times were sowing and harvest. Apart from that, I can't fathom what would possibly justify 40 hrs/week work times the rest of the year.

  • Oh we do age, just very slowly.

  • Yeah, but actual numbers would be nice.

  • Very interesting read.

I also like how, at the end, it changed perspective to say "actually, our problem is not software, but politics".

We must be aware of what agents we encourage and discourage through our actions.

  • solar panels will do a lot to reduce the problem of climate change significantly.

I'm saying this because I see a lot of young people having depression due to climate doomerism, and realizing there's an effective strategy that can be physically implemented helps a lot.

  • correlation does not imply causality, mind you

  • something something "suffering builds character" smh
