  • Like others said, let's not use the term "strange fruit" for this shit. That is situated in such a specific thing and is for victims. Its not a cutesy way to say "hanged" FFS

  • I love that there is no contradiction in the angloid mind with the statement "We pre-emptively bombed them so they wouldn't continue threatening international peace". Like we've all mocked this shit, there have been cartoons about it for like 130 years now, but it never ceases to amaze.

  • So it is a race to see if Iran can do enough damage to make further strikes not worthwhile before the US and Israel hit enough launchers? Cause Iran is not going to be able to replace missiles like they can so is the US expecting to go on till capitulation, or Iran's offensive capabilities are gone? Putting Iran under threat of constant strikes with eventually little in the way of hitting back?

Not dooming, just wondering what the options for Iran are right now

  • For missiles yes, but not land borders. Though there was that suspicion with Azerbaijan last time. It is on one hand good Iran doesn't have to have an army standing at the border, but it also means no real threat of Iranian troops skirmishing with Israel or the US, which can be effective for demoralizing. We saw that with Hamas ensuring a steady stream of IDF body bags

  • Inshallah the US causes even further action by Iraqi groups against the Zionist Entity and itself

  • God. Iran being able to strike back is good, it means a decent chunk of silos are intact, but scary as fuck not knowing the damage to Iran. Hopefully improvements over the prior Israeli attack in terms of the safety of key officials, particularly in the military. Beyond missiles what can Iran even do? They don't border any US allies worth attacking. I know Israel has said it is an air war, but I hope the Iranian army and IRGC are not getting hit.

  • I just now found out this shit is on, can anyone update me on what damage has been done to Iran so far? I see the hits on the great satan and its allies, but I worry for Iran none the less.

  • At a certain point couriers will be better

  • I hate the term "late-stage capitalism" especially in common usage. It just dilutes the critique at this point

  • Why yes, I do respect the troops

  • I soy-faced when I saw Budyonny not gonna lie

  • being office of naval intelligence in Afghanistan vibes

  • Yeah but the prior two died in office. I am saying they should normalize an earlier retirement age. Let my man chill

  • It is a long way off, but I hope he hands the post over before his death, get those transitions of power in early. Helps prevent nonsense, so long as you don't go full Calles

  • Always felt bad for Alcibiades, dude got fucked over for trying to actually win the war.

  • Rest in Power to Jesse Jackson, one of the last good libs in US politics.

  • U.S. Civil Rights Leader Jesse Jackson Dies at 84

He was a leader to ‘the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world,’ his family recalled. On Tuesday morning, Jesse Jackson, the famed U.S. civil rights leader, died at the age of 84. Jackson marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and led the Civil Rights Movement for decades after the latter’s assassination.

“Our father was a servant leader — not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world,” the Jackson family stated.

“We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.”

“A tireless change agent, he elevated the voices of the voiceless — from his presidential campaign in the 1980s to mobilizing millions to register to vote — leaving an indelible mark on history,” the Jackson family pointed out.

In 2017, Jackson revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which affects the nervous system and slowly restricts movement and daily activities.

Jackson had built a very strong political influence both inside the U.S. and abroad, and he spent his life dedicated to pursuing civil rights for disenfranchised groups.

Jesse Jackson was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Greenville, South Carolina, and rose to prominence as one of the most visible civil rights leaders in the United States in the late 20th century. He studied sociology at North Carolina A&T State University and later earned a master’s degree in theology from the Chicago Theological Seminary.

Early in his life, Jackson became deeply involved in the struggle for racial equality, working closely with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

After King’s assassination in 1968, Jackson continued to advocate for nonviolent activism, economic justice and expanded political participation for African Americans.

In 1971, Jackson founded People United to Save Humanity (PUSH), an organization focused on improving economic conditions, education and employment opportunities for Black communities.

He later merged it with the National Rainbow Coalition, creating the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, which sought to unite racial minorities, labor groups, women and the poor into a broad political alliance.

Through boycotts, negotiations with major corporations and public campaigns, Jackson pushed for affirmative action, minority hiring and greater representation in business and government.

His political career reached its peak during his presidential campaigns in 1984 and 1988, when he sought the Democratic nomination. Although he did not win, Jackson achieved historic results in 1988, when he finished third overall and won several primaries and caucuses.

His campaigns expanded the electorate, mobilized millions of new voters and helped shape the Democratic Party’s platform on issues such as civil rights, social welfare and foreign policy.

Beyond electoral politics, Jackson also served as an informal diplomat, engaging in high-profile international missions, and remained an influential voice in U.S. political and social debates for decades.

  • It was the symbol of the Iron Front, who effectively never fought and just existed on paper to threaten the Red Front and later Antifa. it was a symbol of reactionaries who would only even consider taking up arms against Communists, but couldn't even do that and instead relied on their Green Police

  • I have a few copypasta/effort posts about this but the answer is FUCK NO

As a reaction to the Harzburg Front and the »March of 100,000«, the Reichsbanner, SPD, General German Trade Union Confederation (ADGB), General Employees’ Association (Afa-Bund) and workers’ gymnastics and Sportbund (ATSB) formed the "Iron Front" on December 16, 1931. Her symbol was three from top right to arrows pointing to the lower left, each shattering a crown, a swastika, and a hammer and sickle. The Iron Front therefore also saw itself as an anti-communist organization.

There was no actual membership. Rather, the Iron Front represented an attempt to to initiate a movement of pro-republic forces. Today they would probably be more democratic as a concerted action identify organizations against extremism

During the first months of its existence, the Iron Front was popularized through large-scale events. There were so-called "preparation weeks" in which activists could write their names in "iron books." Trade unionists formed "hammer groups" in order to be able to act militantly in an emergency. In their propaganda appeared the Iron Front as a decisive force to protect the republic. In fact, their activities focused on publicly effective self-portrayals.

Meanwhile, the Nazis were gaining ground. Hitler wanted on April 10, 1932 in the election to the Reich President against Paul von Hindenburg and Ernst Thälmann, but he was still stateless. The German The Braunschweig government procured him citizenship by appointing him to the government council on February 25, 1932 in Berlin - a post that Hitler, incidentally, never took up. However, the election to the Reich President was decided by supported by the SPD, German nationalist Paul von Hindenburg for himself.

The day after Hitler was made chancellor, the standard bearers of this emblem did this

The KPD asked the Iron Front, the SPD, the general trade union association ADGB and their organisations, and the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold to declare a general strike against Hitler. The Iron Front decline, issued a call on February 2 to "all comrades of the Reichsbanner and the Iron Front", warning against participating in "wild actions organised by irresponsible people", and exhorted members to "turn all Iron Front events into powerful rallies for freedom".

The attempt to use the Three Arrows is a restoration of the very liberal chauvinism that led to Hitler winning. It is a symbol of anti-communism and the people who try to restore it have largely been naive or downright dangerous. Oppose the Iron Front then and now.

We've been having this fight with neo-Iron Front/ironfrontusa people for years here https://hexbear.net/post/157623?scrollToComments=false

This is a symbol literally used by the opposition to Antifa. It is not, nor has it ever been anti-fascist. And if we wanted to use it, we should then cease using the two flags Antifascist Action emblem because using both is a denigration of the fallen.

RoteFront and Antifa comrades died fighting this shit.
