  • My favorite story was when a Karen told someone to not give money to the homeless man because he was going to use it to buy drugs and the man just that, "That's what i was going to spend it on anyway."

  • How have humans gone from the Stone Age to being able to manipulate subatomic particles in just a few thousand years?

And it’s not just normal subatomic particles. My mind is kind of blown when I think about this.

  • I think they recently updated something to allow finding videos across different instances easier. But I don’t use it, so you will need to look that up.

  • The maps do not show any devices in the country where I live, but due to the low cost and practical use, I’d love to set some up.

If i am usually within 6km of my home, in a city. I wonder if 1 node will be enough coverage.

Also, how can you tell that there are more nodes than reported on those sites?

  • I just checked and it’s 278.

  • Aren’t Franklings what we call people from France?

    /s

  • In the show Andor, there is a character named "Kleaha" But until about halfway through season 2, I thought it was Princess Leaha. It was only that I saw the subtitle that wrote her name out that let me know it was a different person.

  • Doesn't proton offer a free vpn with limits?

Also, a vpn is pretty cheap. I wouldn't say that it's kids that would be using it, it would be adults who don;t want to upload their picture.

  • Thanks! I’m going to do that Nita a great idea.

  • Thanks! I put my currently 14” laptop side by side with my wife’s 13” m1 air and the screen size was so close, so I think Lenovo rounded up the screen size.

I’ll decided to get the 13” and use the price difference to get 1tb ssd.

I had the same idea about vision as you did, my if I take my laptop out to work, it usually to a cafe or restaurant where the space is limited, so I think I’m settled on the 13”.

Maybe next time when my vision gets a bit worse.

  • That’s pretty funny.

  • The tools I’m using are for internal use and there is a backup in place. So, if something does go down, my contractors can pull the files up in one drive in a view only format.

  • I’m with you on this. The only legit concern I hear is its environmental impact.

But things will become more efficient over time and it had led to increased interest in nuclear energy, so i think it’s a problem that will take care of itself.

  • Sure, I get it. Once my business is in a more profitable place I’ll bring someone on to fix up the code, but for now it’s more than enough.

  • This is what I’m talking about. So many people talk about it in white or black.

I was able to “code” a front end that my contractors can log into to view the files they are authorized to see.

It helped me write so many different things that all work together to solve my problem.

It may or may not be the most efficient code, but in terms of overall business operation, it’s extremely efficient.

  • It says that an unknown vehicle hit the bike after he had already fallen and left the scene.

Imagine someone loses control of a motorcycle and falls off in front of your car and you hit him.

Even if someone is attentive and slams the breaks, there’s no guarantee that you will not hit the person.

Then you get charged with manslaughter or something. Is it just me or does it seem unfair for a situation like that?

The article only says the bike was hit after the man had fallen off the bike and the car left the scene, but I kind of don’t blame them for leaving.

  • People always talk about it in relation to programmers, but what about us non-programmers that have been able to code things only becuase of chatgpt?

I have some python, sysadmin, and computer security knowledge. I actually obtained the security+ cert a few years ago.

I do not work in tech anymore, and chatgpt has helped me so much, by basically coding stuff for me to do random work tasks that I was either unqualified to do or didn;t have the time to do.

  • Thanks, it’s seemed that his “solution” was off.

  • I think the problem is that there might not be people to staff those nursing homes.
