And companies like Uber, Amazon etc. are heavily disliked by a lot of people because of it. This tactic forces smaller companies into bankruptcy and is bad for the consumer in the long run.
So yeah, it is absolutely not good either if China props up their whole EV industry to establish a monopoly. I hope governments around the world are pushing back as much as possible to keep their local car manufacturers alive, their economies will profit from it.
Not supporting this doesn't mean that you don't understand modern economics, on the contrary I would argue.
However, they said this was only a temporary reprieve and melting was highly likely to start again at about double the long-term rate at some point in the next five to 10 years.
In revanced brauchst du das nicht: unter video -> force original audio language, möglicherweise musst du dafür auch unter miscellaneous -> spoof video streams auf IOS TV stellen
I looked into it some months ago and if I'm not mistaken the dev referred to a "user profile" as "he" in an installation instruction text. Then someone made a suggestion to change it to "they" and he answered that he didn't want politics in his project.
My thoughts were that "they" didn't fit and if changed, "user profile" should be "it" and not "they".
He didn't change it to "it" either though.. It's really not clear if it's just bad English, a case of don't tell me what to do or full blown bigotry.
My vote, at least for now, goes to overblown drama.
Comparing prices like you do just looks like bad faith. And I'm not saying this to support Tesla but to highlight that there is some serious BYD shilling going on here.
You want Tesla to compete? I guess the US already has prison slave labour and reduced safety measures for Teslas, it's just missing some billions of US tax money flowing in and you got what you wished for.
Not a good idea? But China doing exactly that is OK, because US bad equals China good?
Maybe putting tariffs on chinese imported EVs (like the EU does) is the reasonable thing to do to protect your own industry and jobs.
The dismantling of the US was Putins wet dream since forever, he would have done the same with or without the well deserved sanctions for invading Ukraine.
I doubt you're getting downvoted for saying that chrome is faster than firefox, but for the irony of using Linux with a Chromium based browser, while being on lemmy.
Chromium, while open source, is controlled by Google and a lot of browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Samsung Android, Vivaldi) are built on it, giving it a market share of around 75%.
Electron apps are frameworks based on Chromium (ie VSCode).
Google is evil and with Manifest V3, Adblockers like uBlock Origin, will eventually stop working for all derivatives (even for Vivaldi).
The future: Because Chromium got the de facto monopoly there is no need for Firefox support anymore and the big corpos (ie Microsoft is a sucker for Chromium/Electron) can turn what's left of the "old" Internet into apps without the ability to block ads or tracking.
The NPD never got banned (supposedly because the party was "insignificant").
They renamed themselves "Die Heimat".
If banned, a follow up party from the AfD would be automatically banned too.
You make it sound like 30% of Germans vote AfD, while they get that many votes mainly in the eastern states.
You talk about democracy and call Nazis "political opponents". I got news for you: Those fascist scums' only goal is to get rid of democracy, sell Europe to Russia and maybe start a third world war.
So keep on talking as much as you like, everyone with half a brain can see right through you.
