  • Never talk to management over the phone. Get it in writing either as a text or email.

  • I read a post on Mastodon from someone in Ontario Canada that was proposing shutting off all export of oil and electricity to the US. The thing that made me doubt this was they were also calling for impeaching 45 (again!). That would leave Vance which scares me even more.

  • My father's career advise to my brother and me was "Make lots of money so I can come live with you when I get old."

My brother didn't like that advise so he did a bunch of research and asked a bunch of people about their careers. He got a masters in an Engineering field but hated working in that field. So he got another masters. He doesn't use it for his career.

I studied Chemistry and left grad school to do software development with no degree in it (it was the 80s). I never used my degree either.

Confronting my dad about his bad career advise would have just gotten his Standard Response to Criticism™--But I'm lovable.

And no he never lived with either of us. But then he never go old.

  • When some random #MAGAidiot complains that one of Trump's new policies is hurting them, instead of blaming Trump, just remind the idiot "Isn't that what you voted for?"

  • Also, when some #MAGAidiot complains that Trump's new policies are impacting them, don't blame Trump. Ask the idiot "Isn't this is what you voted for?"

  • "Straight boys are so clueless when someone is flirting with them."

    7 second pause.

    Blink Blink. Stammer. "Ummm."

  • I always thought it was named after Maynard G. Krebs. [you rang]

  • I wonder to this day what happened to mom's Lladro figurines and the Royal Dalton tea cups. I'm sure my sister got Nana's sterling and Mom's plate. It's really sad that the Danish modern furniture had to go before she moved up here but she was happy with IKEA and CostPlus replacements.

I got her pots, which was all that mattered to me. There's something symmetrical in making Boeff Bourguignon in the same pot you learned to make beef stew at age 14.

  • Back in the mid-80s, when I got an email from HR about the Christmas Party at the local office, I sent a reply to the district HR manager complaining that not everyone in the company celebrated Christmas. Later that day, another email came out announcing the Holiday Party. So glad I had a hand in educating HR.

  • I'd love for some enterprising IRS auditor to find out what churches she appeared in, then send each of them an audit notice letter. They've lost their IRS tax exemption.

  • Old Chemists never die. We just fail to react.

  • Tried to unsubscribe at start of the year when they added commercials to Prime Videos. Wouldn't let me cancel. I could set my subscription to NOT RENEW but I could not cancel it and get a pro-rated refund. So I'll keep it until December with it constantly reminding me how much I save on postage with Prime. Won't really change my usage patterns. I'll just group my purchases until shipping is free. No more 50lbs of cat litter drop shipped overnight for $2.50.

  • Is it my imagination or are these dim-witted assassins getting easier to catch. Trump didn't even get to bandage his ear this time.

  • I wonder if the owner is booking a flight to a non-extraditable country or if he's going to go private.

  • I predict the deceased's executor will have to sue Wells Fargo for their last paycheck. They'll claim they were working the full 4 days since they were found. And entitled to overtime since they're hourly rather than salaried.

  • Someone should suggest Clarence play a game of solitare. If the Chinese can Manchurian someone, I'm sure Putin's got something similar.

  • Lovely little utility.

Shut up and take my money.

  • I disabled History and only see my channel subscriptions. None of the options above appear in my Youtube feed.

  • I got hit by this AT&T usage cap for internet downloads. I went through 250GB of downloads in less than a month. Most of it was internet backups of a newly installed system. They don't offer a data tier without a cap in my area so I was stuck paying $10/10GB over that month. Next month I added a $30 unlimited data charge to my bill. That's OK as I'm consistently going over their cap again due to backups. Unless I buy much more expensive plan from a commercial provider and pay for Fibre installation, I'm stuck.
