Truly mind blowing they didn’t address the weight issues. The first one was incredible to use for about 3 minutes, then you realize you have a whole ass brick on your face. It needs a smaller form factor. The only way it will find some general use age is to take out all the extras like the front facing “eyes” screen, make it weigh less, make it cost half as much, and make some controllers for it so you don’t have to do the stupid finger gestures.
Like I said it is important and I’m glad he has his show back but I guess I really don’t understand why it matters to continue to bring it up. There are so many people that are being punished under this administration. I don’t really understand the case to care about someone who is a multimillionaire over the thousands of people who are being deported or separated from families or killed.
Look I'm happy he's got his show back, and it was awful the circumstances that it was removed, but can we collectively move on to more important things?
God this would be hell in an open office plan. It would drive me insane with just 1 of those but I imagine this company dreams of selling to as many “tech workers” as possible.
It’s such a powerful, stupid and inhumane idea that by the time I finished reading that paragraph I had forgotten that you had told me to ignore the stupidity and inhumanity.
I would definitely defer to your provider on any medical advice. It’s a withdrawal symptom and everyone is different.
From my experience, it gets better gradually after a few weeks. The worst is the first week. Just take care of the basics like water, sleep, and light exercise like walking. Get sunlight, talk to friends, and find things you can do that don’t involve a lot of quick movement. I really enjoyed podcasts and music to just relax without having to move my head or eyes around a lot with something like TV or reading.
It can really suck at first but it will get better. Just be kind to yourself with a change like this, especially since other things in your brain are going to be different.
Instead of nihilism, which says there is no meaning, why not think about positive nihilism, where there is no meaning except for the meaning you create. It offers you an opportunity to define what’s important and gives you permission to create your own joy and happiness.
No need to apologize! Mental health is a hard subject to approach and figure out on your own. You are doing the right thing asking people (especially professionals) for help!
I did CBT at first and then tried DBT. CBT is definitely more common I think. Sometimes it feels like homework but it is super worth it to at least give each exercise a try.
I enjoyed both CBT and DBT since it focused on building tools to help make my brain a better place to live. I recommend them both.
I think you are taking a statement like “you can’t control the actions or feelings of others” as “just let them do what they want.” You should be having these conversations with a professional because it seems you are misunderstanding some basic things about CBT and DBT.
