  • I don't, my psych straight-up told me they're not recommended or frankly needed for most people, definitely something you should consider talking to your doctor about your treatment plan. Personally I've not seen any decrease in efficacy with 4 years of vyvanse not due to work stress or poor sleep, but every person reacts differently to medication.

  • I kept them with linear rods, rails were more than I wanted to do at the time. I changed over to a dragon HF after liking it on my voron, just to keep common parts. Hey, its good to know at least that I can probably push more, tuning a profile for it is definitely going to be on my list.

The ObXidian nozzles are really nice, I just have a 0.4mm and 0.6mm regular nozzles, I've used a bunch of hardened coated nozzles before, seem nicer than those but haven't tested much.

  • I bear modded mine at the same time and a few other things, biggest for me was that I liked my macros on my voron and I could share them and the motors are substantially quieter.

I haven't pushed it acceleration wise, do you have any print profiles for prusaslicer or the like? I definitely have room to work with on mine.

  • The ones I have have some speakers aimed at your ear to fill in that part, actually works really well. I can't stand the ear buds you physically insert into your ears, the rubber tipped ones, these have been good to replace my on ears for activity. Plus you can hear what's around you which is why my partner gifted me them.

  • Was my first experience with source control, a bunch of Gary's Mod mods were distributed that way, think I recall wiretool doing that, spacebuild was for sure, predated my work use by like 5ish years.

I didn't hate it but definitely prefer git, but I'll take literally anything over not having it,

  • He won't even get a security clearance, how can anyone trust him to run a government?

  • What is the flavour of them? You don't see them on shelves here, my partner grabbed rootbeer a while back and it was foul, like overwhelming chicory flavour I think?

Cove does this type of stuff that actually tastes decent if you want an occasional soft drink, they do kombucha too, there's stevia sweetened brands too out there.

  • Considering that is nearly exactly some of the answers I've received during the technical part of interviews for jr data eng, you're probably not far off.

Shit I've seen solutions done up that look like that, fighting the optimiser every step (amongst other things)

  • It's based on Esperanto, I think German j would be the closest? Audio sample in their FAQ is like for-jay-yo to my ear, they give /forˈd͡ʒe.jo/ as a pronunciation

  • There's a ton of great women in metal, I'll drop two.

Mares of Thrace, Calgary AB based sludge/post/hardcore 2 piece, guitarist/vocalist is part of the original lineup, it's heavy and catchy.

I really like Hulder, black metal solo project, some of her early demos are amazing, this version of Into The Crypt of Rays comes to mind, got a wall flag of the art from this in my office.

  • Have the non-curved version of that, prefer the curved display at that size but it's a nice display regardless, at the distance it sits not really an issue, just preference, definitely recommend.

Built in kvm is fantastic for using with my work machine, used to use 3x 1080p displays, just like this more for pretty much everything I do.

  • Powershell, windows terminal and winget are all legitimately nice tools, powershell especially is just stupidly more powerful than it needs to be (and verb-noun syntax is great).

  • Canada had the Residential School system, which was a genocide, don't take my word for it, it's one of the conclusions the Truth and Reconciliation report described as a cultural genocide, archive link. The last federal school closed in 1997, there's been mass graves found at some of these in the news over the last decade. Many of these schools were religious and as recently as 2017 the PM was seeking a formal apology from the pope (of the Christian denoms, Catholicism is the majority).

Canada's history is almost more sinister, we'd do well to never forget that if we want to address the systemic problems that remain to this day.

  • Oh for sure, there's exceptions to the rule, I've been fooled too. Peste Noir, Drudkh, Deathspell Omega, Burzum all end up on essentials lists, definitely contributes.

  • At least most nsbm sucks and/or have names like "ss wehrwulf division 1488" so it's usually really easy to avoid.

Still, be great to have another tool to filter bands.

Edit: looks like it's going to be based on musicbrainz metadata, checked Burzum because Vikernes is a Nazi and Peste Noir, neither of which have an nsbm tag, nor do Grand Belial's Key or an actual band called Wehrwolf, probably because of how niche black metal is.

I've personally used this list as a place to start, not perfect but it's something. Metallum lyrical content helps as well.

  • He'll always be the civ narrator to me, though he only did civ 4.

  • Sprouts do well with Braising, this is roughly how I do them, based on a whim that turned out fantastic.

    1. Halve and clean your sprouts, salt and pepper them
    2. Sear cut side down in oil of your choice. Bacon is the classic but absolutely not required if you want to do it vegan, maybe use some smoked paprika to get the smokey flavour, add aromatics like garlic near the end, it burns easy.
    3. Deglaze with balsamic vinegar, add enough liquid to just barely cover the bottom of the pan, cover and simmer until happy.

I know sprouts are far less bitter than they were when I was a kid, but I legit thought I disliked them. Borrowed a lot from braised cabbage recipes, just with a bit more aggressive browning. The sprouts hold up really well to longer cooking IMO (can't say the same to leeks, braised leeks are great, but not how I did them, turned into a textural nightmare), they're amazing hot or cold.

  • Forgejo Documentation says they should be familiar to people who use github actions, they're not the same but I found that when debugging some a few months back that github information was applicable, if that helps.
