  • Best guess is that she’s frustrated with the amount you pay versus what you get back. And honestly she’s not wrong but probably mad at the wrong at the wrong people.

  • 100% agree. Unfortunately, with the infrastructure in the US I don’t see us making a move to successfully public transit anytime soon.

  • Yeah, it feels like this is the price you pay officially but if you donate to a specific account your employee visas are processed without any fees

  • Same thing happened to me. On the phone with customer service to get my money back

  • This still is killing me. Why is this so funny? All the others look like good images of the characters!

  • I’m using this next time I’m on a call with my boss

  • Yup, same thing happened with social media and search engines. Get people using your product then start running ads

  • Lol. As a newbie who is using mint, I assumed that was the kid toy

  • I bet there was no rain at 2:30 so it’s correct

  • Wait, building schools and hospitals with lead? Seems like a bad idea but let’s do it. Can’t be much worse than what they have planned for us

  • Honestly, those two probably had a great afternoon.

  • I had the same thought. The lighting maybe? Or the background trees? Something feels off

  • From what I remember seeing, international education in the US is considered an export since the money is coming in typical from their parents bank account. If you consider all fees and cost of living for a student they add a lot to the local economy where they go to school.

  • I am lawful neutral (use clip it came with) until about halfway through the loaf, then I become chaotic neutral (twist and tuck) at the back half.

There isn’t enough bag to properly twist and tuck until that point anyway.

  • The word hypernormalisation was coined by Alexei Yurchak a professor of anthropology who was born in Leningrad. He introduced the word which describes paradoxes of life during the 1970s and 1980s in the USSR. He says everyone in the Soviet Union knew the system was failing, but no one could imagine any alternative to the status quo and politicians and citizens alike were resigned to maintaining the pretense of a functioning society. Over time, the mass delusion became a self-fulfilling prophecy with everyone accepting it as the new norm rather than pretend.
