Don't vote for another glow squid

  • This is his most absurd photo op yet. I do not believe he is certified to handle food. If he doesn't know how not to contaminate food then he'd be putting the health of customers in danger.

  • I was close to leaving. At first I'd been given the impression that "liberal" is a dirty word on Lemmy. It helps that PSAs like this one routinely appear on other instances to inform newcomers. Just keep spreading the knowledge and let it be known that everybody should block those communities.

  • That was an enlightening article. It seems like CIG has serious problems with leadership and budget expenditure. I can't call the game a scam since they at least have something tangible in the works, but they don't inspire confidence as to when or if they'll fully deliver.

I'm glad I never got on this ship. I'm not a big fan of buying into unfinished games with grandiose promises.

  • Did he really have a change of heart just because he got in trouble with Twitch? We know how he is. It's pretty strange to see him walk back any statements after getting backlash. As far as I know he's always been the unapologetic, uncancellable degenerate who lives with rats rotting on the floor and his own blood staining the walls.

  • A big one for me is that you can tweak the priority of specific domains. in my case I hate Fandom but I don't want to block it entirely, so I lower it and raise the other wikis I'd rather see first. I also have every Pinterest domain blocked, which would be very tedious to do with search engine operators.

  • Is it really worth making this kind of statement regarding the DEI thing? The self-proclaimed "anti-woke" crowd wants you to give their bigotry fuel by playing defense. Then they're going to get on YouTube and upload another shitty rant with a soyface thumbnail and a 3-word headline.

If you can ban them in your spaces then do so by all means. Do not enter their space if you are an honest person. This is a battle won by persuasive rhetoric, not facts and logic.

  • I don't know how to get climate change deniers to accept the conclusions. It's team sports to them. They think they need to absolutely deny it just because they'd boost liberal talking points if they gave the slightest concession to the climate change discourse.

  • We don't have to respond seriously to that, right? He's clearly non-decent. Pointing and laughing seems like the appropriate response.

  • What should I do, chat?

  • It seems very faithful to source material. They're paying proper homage to Junji Ito's art with the strongly contrasting black and white visuals. A full color adaptation would have dulled the horror of the spiral.

  • So true. Fasting is easier for me than eating some and then choosing to stop, but I know I can't do that every day.

  • That was a good anime. Very wholesome, and Noor is a precious himbo.

  • We could, but instead we're going to monetize it and achieve unprecedented levels of brain rot.

  • I'll share my recipe since it isn't in the book.

    Block of Smoked Tofu

Preparation: cut open the packaging with a knife, put on a plate, and eat with your hands.

Smoked tofu tastes good enough to eat it by itself, and it's a great source of protein and fat.

  • I'll speak about my experience. Bluesky feels like an upgrade to Twitter. There are many algorithmic feeds to choose from, and it's easy to discover people to follow. Mastodon, on the other hand, is a straight downgrade from Bluesky because it is lacking in those features.

I imagine a lot of people leaving Twitter feel similarly. They don't care much about privacy or federation. Bluesky just works, and that's what matters to them.

  • So that's how you port a game like this. The game being a program running on a computer is essential to the story, so they just made a mock operating system for it to take place in.

  • I like this guy. He just turns boring or oddly specific video game content into comfy videos.

  • We were going to keep calling it Twitter no matter what, but it feels even better knowing how much he loves deadnaming.

  • Why is this so familiar? Didn't he already try and fall to prop up another Republican ghoul the same way? I wonder what the last engineer not fired at Twitter is doing. They still haven't fixed Twitter's livestreaming.
