  • I mean, he was also very close to Roy Cohn. Another, but differently prodigious monster

  • I was out on St Patrick's day and saw a guy go by in a novelty top hat that looked similar to this:

And I shouted "Holy shit! It's St Jamiroquai!" to absolutely zero response

  • Oh I am fully aware, but I find it important to point out the underlying thing they're exploiting when you see statements like this. Just like passing ID laws and bans on porn are a subtext to censor LGBTQ people

  • Oh I misunderstood you then. I thought you were saying that people actually used state IDs. I understand that they are available but in practice I have never seen people using them

  • Do you have any proof of that because I genuinely have not seen that in my experience. Usually it's social security numbers, birth certificate, passports, and bills that I see as documentation in lieu of driver's licenses

  • Elon's stupid ass dedication to using cameras and image processing for self driving will ultimately be what leaves Tesla in the dust. A combination of LIDAR, cameras, and other detection tools are way safer than just cameras alone. I'm not a huge Mark Rober fan but he did show that you can beat Tesla's self driving with Looney Tunes techniques

  • Just a reminder that America does not have a national ID and that while most people think a driver's license is our ID only 71% of Americans have one. Children, the elderly, people who are too poor to have a car, or people who live in cities that don't need cars (which is like, 5 cities but is still a notable percent of the population) are all people who may not have an ID and all of them have been rounded up by ICE. This is a further attack on the poor specifically but on the vulnerable in general

  • I'd argue that's more of a wisdom roll. INT would be a attempt to decipher it without magic, WIS would be knowing not fuck with creepy book or to at least cast detect magic first

  • Exactly. Especially considering it's rare that there's a month where there are fewer than 2 movies I actively want to see in theaters. So I'm already saving money with it, all those other movies are just bonuses

Plus you get surprised. I thought Clown in a Cornfield was going to suck and I would have never seen Life of Chuck normally but I ended up really enjoying both of them

  • Remember, when someone asks what would Jesus do? Flip over tables and kick out all the bankers is an option:

and Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

  • It's me. I watch a lot of movies and see arthouse stuff the public doesn't care about and if something is a big enough train wreck occasionally I'll see what's going on (shout out to CATS). Though I have Regal Unlimited so I don't "pay" for a ticket

  • I'm lazy so it's whatever I last I needed to do with him. I take it off before bed because he will scratch his neck and jingle it at night, also before going in his crate so he doesn't hurt himself. Once he goes out for the first time of the day he'll probably wear it until I have a reason to take it off

  • Explicitly, no. The rules are you have to be a natural-born citizen of the United States, be at least 35 years old, and have been a resident of the United States for 14 years. To my knowledge citizenship can only be granted to humans though so in effect, yes

  • Not me

    Jump
  • If you're high enough level to have pissed off a Marut that is 100% your fault and you deserve the consequences of your actions

  • Can you tell I like rogue-likes? I do think they work great for mobile games since you can pick them up and put them down easily

  • Cool, I updated my post. I remember for a long time it was only available on PC and iPad. Not on iPhone. So I just kinda assumed it wouldn't
