  • Was she in the military? I thought she was like just the first female graduate from the citadel?

  • Ergonomics, forget the gaming gear and move into healthier computing. New office chair, standing desk, adjustable pneumatic monitor arms, fatigue mat, clean up wiring, vertical mouse ball, split keyboards, desk organizers. It never ends

  • I don’t think you need to worry about that. My understanding is Bazzite was basically created because steamOS is/was really focused on the steam deck where Bazzite was more general PC support

  • Nice to see CachyOs!

  • Uh that just might be his full time job? Plenty of Linux is used in the business world with Azure and WSL

  • Not to get into politics but the whole point of Linux is about being open and used by anyone from anywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see various parts of the Linux kernel, drivers, etc developed/funded by people from Israel, Russia, and many many other countries.

Edit: the point of this message, this type of approach to your OS choice will ultimately result in throwing your PC in the trash if you dig deep enough.

  • I haven’t had any issues with mine, I do agree the power button is in a spot I would not have put it in. I’m running arch on mine. The factor laptops others mentioned look very high quality, prob will be my next if this laptop ever stops handling my needs.

  • I’m a big fan of the Hp Elitebooks, you can get them with AMD chips. Apple’s MacBooks are pretty much in a league of their own and you pay a premium for that! Have an m3 max for work that is incredible.

  • No that’s why I said I think it’s why he bought a president…

  • The worst part about all of this, is Tesla has backed themselves into a corner with their aggressive marketing. If additional sensors are required it will cost them billions in retrofitting all the teslas it’s already sold. Partially believe that’s why Elon bought Donald.

  • Because they don’t want their friend to die?

  • What are you going on about? Are you saying the word of the president is worthless and therefore should be ignored? It’s just a joke?

  • Maybe Mirotalksfu or galene?

  • 💩argument given how many highly processed foods have animal products in them

  • Maybe the world should embrace plant based alternatives so we are not so reliant on maintaining hundreds of millions chickens?

  • No one is saying parks and golf courses are not a world of difference. The real argument boils down to, is the reason your utility is not building solar or wind farms because there is no land available? If the answer is yes there is no land available than taking over a golf course is a possible option. If the answer is no, there is plenty of land available outside the city, what is the point of wanting to turn golf courses into solar farms?

This article is not about converting golf courses into a different kind of green space.

  • Sure but that’s a local issue, many communities have parks and golf courses… This article is arguing to remove golf courses in favor of solar or wind farms because they use a lot of space. It doesn’t even examine the impacts of putting a utility grade power farm in the middle of a community because the argument would breakdown immediately.

  • I’m not strawmanning anything. My initial message was the article is garbage, we don’t need to get rid of golf courses to have utility grade solar farms. Wind solar and golf courses can all coexist. Solar can be put on the roofs of the buildings they help power. Regardless attacking golf because rich people play golf is such a horrible position. Rich people play soccer and every other damn sport known to mankind. The even funnier point is if you’re in the US you are well are of the massive amount of land that is unused and available for your power company’s renewable energy endeavors. I can tell you right now, available land is not the issue. Clown.
