  • Letting your employees work on what they like doesn't seem like the worst thing. It might hurt game profits but seems much nicer for the workers.

  • Twitter runs a single web application.

    They also do make games.

  • They'd get absolutely flattened by everyone else. It would be an insanely short sighted move.

  • Sow do you plan to pay sites for the resources you use?

  • There had already been a few migrations as Reddit got more and more shit but that certainly caused a large one.

  • Look no one likes ads but at the same time most people don't want to pay to use websites.

Advertising is just the reality of the internet.

So given the choice between anonymous data I control Vs them sucking up all the personal info they can I know what I'd choose.

  • Submitting anonymous data is better than ads tracking incredibly personal data essentially.

  • Ad tracking by the user Vs user tracking by ads. It's very different.

  • It feels like she isn't really responsible but you are for yelling at work.

I get it people can be irritating but you just can't do that at work.

She likely called HR. Which is the right thing to do I would say.

Seems like you've been moved because they weren't comfortable working with you. Many people might get fired tbh.

Shouting can be incredibly intimidating and it's not something I'd want to deal with at work.

    Out of spite

Rarely a good move my friend.

  • I assume it's your ability to visualise things in your head. I'm the last one 🙃

  • The tinfoil would stop it.

  • Wouldn't that cut it's communication though?

  • As a parent of 4 kids I can safely say I would never leave them in a car in that heat. No matter the circumstances.

  • Yeah this isn't a tragic accident, like they so often are.

    This is straight neglect.

  • Absolutely not correct at all I'm afraid.

People seem to think we have the ability to control our kids to a huge degree.

Plenty of children with amazing, loving upbringings turn into garbage people. And some of the nicest most kind people I know were raised by abusive scum.

Plus teenage years are difficult for most kids as they find their place in the world and their friends have almost as much influence as parents at that time.

You also can't know what teenagers are doing all the time. Especially at school.

Furthermore some people seem to just be born assholes and it doesn't matter how you raise them.

I'm going to assume you don't have teenagers. They can change into a different person overnight once the hormones kick in.

  • It pretty much is. If you ignore the culture / race part. Eugenics would be a more correct term.

  • I think the point is they don't hate who they are. We don't let them be themselves. They hate who they are forced to be.

  • It's usually they haven't slept for days and the kid is asleep in the back.

I saw one where they drove past their kids school and went to work.

No one plans to do this. It's not hugely common but it does happen.

I was left at the supermarket once. These things happen. But sometimes the consequences are just much bigger.
