  • I feel like it's only helpful for people who don't actually do any work. Because if they did they'd realize how many times it says something can be done, but can't, and how often even if it can be done, literally nobody cares.

  • No thanks I'll have my soda ROOM TEMP without any FROZEN WATER

  • IBM still does things?

  • Sort of, there used to be way more HDD manufacturers and then they all talked each other into dropping them for SDDs. Now a sudden need arises and there are no HDDs.

  • When everybody started using the "easy" POS systems like Stripe, Square, Clover etc which typically charge 1-2% more for credit card fees rather than the more competitive but poorly integrated processors like authorize.net or the random guy coming into your business.

  • More importantly what does not getting left behind look like? Nobody actually cares that somebody can use AI to code something or to write a press release. If you're not somebody who was already deemed socially important in the offline world, you'll probably get left behind anyway.

  • They're obsessed with this idea that people they perceive to be lower on the social hierarchy than them can somehow always have a use for their old stuff. As if using their old stuff is part of the process to become successful like them.

  • Lol I did this at my first job thinking that was only fair and then I overheard the female boss go into another coworkers office to ask her if she put the toilet seat all the way down. Apparently men are the only gender who should ever be touching a toilet seat at all.

  • If I check to see if I'm on any lists, does that put me on a list?
