This is why I bought Maytag for an appliance... Then 4 years into its 10 "warranty", I learned that it only covers things with pretty much no chance of breaking during that time and the actual functional bits aren't covered, like the water pump (washers don't work too good if the water doesn't go anywhere).
And the repair cost about as much as I paid for it.
Companies buying companies with stellar reputations and then ride that reputation for every cent it's worth into the ground... Gotta love capitalism, right?
And everything it touches, it feels like it does differently just to be incompatible and extra, and like it goes out of its way to obfuscate everything to force you to use their programs to configure it rather than config files
Yeah, I'm really not understanding what their argument is on email vs Web portal thing. Like, do they think because it uses HTTP instead of POP3 or IMAP to get it to their device that it's somehow not email anymore?
Out of curiosity, what is it you like about openSUSE? It's been forever since I've messed around with it and was considering switching to it from Mint (having some graphics stability issue possibly coming from my bizarre monitor layout giving X11 headaches while using KDE, which Mint doesn't really optimize for)
I run Debian Stale for my Linux servers and love it, and your joke legit made me laugh... I'd say some people need to lighten up and learn to laugh at themselves a little 😅
