  • Oh I'm thinking of the woman who didn't have insurance but her dad did, so he pretended to have the same disease so he could hand her the medication she needed.

  • I think the insurance fraud episode is way later as the hospital director is played by Monica from friends. But maybe they did that twice and I just forgot?

  • I told them my os is non standard, Graphene, and if they need anything more than 2fa codes, it'd need to be on one of their devices.

  • Yeah, fuck that guy!

  • Does that mean if I am cold, running a 600 watt computer is the same as having a 600 watt space heater going?

  • Unfortunately, seems bazzite may not survive. A proposed fedora change would make it so the main maintainer would basically need to shut the project down.

    Edit: I stand corrected

  • Man that sounds so nice for my laptop.

  • I would bet they spent way less than 10 million. Lobbying in the US seems to generally a great deal compared to the value one receives.

  • Yeah, it's weird to be an American and hope the silver lining of trump is that the rest of the world keeps making better choices in response to how bad this is.

  • I get that the simple language option exists, and i definitely think I'm not qualified to really argue what Wikipedia should or should not do. But I wanted to share what my lemmy feed looked like when I clicked into this post and I gotta say, I sorta get it.

  • Probably meta's model trying to shift the blame

  • Honestly, seems like that'd actually be a great law to pass.

  • I use pycharm for this and in general it does a great job. At work we've got some massive repos and it'll handle it fine.

The "find" tab shows where it'll make changes and you can click "don't change anything in this directory"

  • If you're willing to deal with managing it, 125gb on s3 seems to cost about $3 per month.

  • I watched a YouTube video where a dev was optimizing unity code to match the size of data that is sent to the cpu using structs just like this.

  • Oh man, sad that's the customer service cause I deeply love my loops. I was already carrying them with me everywhere I went so I grabbed a pill keychain thing and attached them to my keys so I'd never forget to grab them.

  • Over a million Americans died to covid, and his administration chose to not send ventilators to blue states because they didn't deserve the help.

The joke in Team America is that the destruction they're trying to prevent be 9/11 times 1000. Well, covid had gotten us to almost half at 1.2 million. https://www.pnas.org/doi/epub/10.1073/pnas.2313661121

He and his administration helped covid kill many people directly and indirectly by sewing doubt in the CDC.

  • For youtube, you can nudge the algo by hitting I'm not interested on a video. Maybe a ton of that?
