  • If I ever injure myself to the point where I need to rehab on a three wheel before I can get back to my regular bikes, I will buy a recumbent. I'm in my 50s and I remember the ATC incidents well - I was sitting behind someone on one when I was a kid when we went over, fortunately, nobody was seriously injured, but they are very not stable.

    The one that's gonna kill me someday will be the teenager twiddling their phone that drifts into the bike lane. Aside from not riding there at all, I don't know what else I can do.
