  • And a NAS full of hundreds of movies, tv shows

This is me, but I made the bad decision of starting with a two bay NAS, my 10 TB filled up fairly quickly (not even 4K media), that is why I recently added to my Arr Stack Decypharr to the equation, and I am kinda impressed how well it behaves with my RD cloud (the content there is prone to disappear due to inactivity, but Decypharr has certain tools to avoid that to happen).

  • We are forever fucked over lots of TV shows/movies that are caged within the stream services realm :/

  • Ah, if only Oracle could take at least one of my multiple credit/debit cards.

  • So is this like a Tailscale alternative and not a way to expose your services?

  • CGNAT sends its regards.

(Although if you have IPv6 access you might get around this... But even in 2026 you will face issues going only this way).

  • What do you mean?, I don't get what he/she is talking about.

  • Not really, it doesn't fetch missing episodes or old content if you did a custom formats modification afterwards.

I never used Huntarr, only upgradinatorr though.

  • Maybe it is a necessary evil...

I always get into problems with old shows/anime when I stick with Plex's tmdb... If I switch to tvdb all my issues are gone.

  • Summit, Voyager and Boost are the best Lemmy clients I have ever tried, and I tried plenty, and pretty sure there are other great ones over there.

  • I see, I still main Sync for Reddit thanks to revanced do you know if Morphe has parches for it? As far as I can tell it only has parches for YT stuff...

  • ... This is how I found out about the Revanced situation... Oh boy I swear the open source community is one of the biggest ones that carries some drama 😂 (not saying this is bad, the switch is something totally justified).

  • I didn't know that about Orion...

Only downside is that it doesn’t sync with Firefox, if you use that on your desktop.

    Man that's rough.

  • When I used iOS setting FF to strict navigation or whatever its name is it did wonders, compared to the closed environment I was ofc.

  • For my needs I'm currently fine with it, also my mindset is... All those are FF forks, the enshitification of FF will eventually splash them, not to the same degree, but yeah, it can happen.

I am too lazy to switch my CSS theme in ALL the OS I use too, for some reason this crap isn't synced automatically with FF Sync (just as some add-ons settings) I hate starting over, that is why I always bash on current backup/restore solution Android has (compared to iCloud) every time I get the chance lol.

  • I am pretty set with Firefox in Android and desktop to be honest.

I cringe a little when users praise Brave as being the best ad-less YouTube solution (especially android users since we have revanced here!), no bro, there is no way using the web version of YT is better than revanced, or any other apps on mobile.

  • It is a pretty GOATED client, and the "competition" is strong, so that even makes it deserve more praises to be fair.

  • With RAM pricing issues going on right now, high end studios are likely going to target a lower spec.

That is quite a positive thought that I would truly want to become real, let's just wait and see I guess, that doesn't change the fact that SD 2 is imminent though (I know that is obvious).

What about hybrid gaming? I don't think anyone can agree that SD is better than the Switch 2 or any other handheld device in 2025 regarding that... Perhaps only in certain cases as locked awful framerate (for the Switch 2).

  • I mean, if it becomes less dumb while listening to you I'm in lol

  • This, but the app survived 😅 (I revived it with revanced).

Now I use both, Sync for Reddit and Summit for Lemmy... NGL if Summit was available for Reddit I would use it as well!
