  • Every time an exit code is a boolean, 0 is true. Shell scripting would be very annoying if this were inconsistent

  • Not quadratic in the length of the input. Assuming replace is linear this is also linear

  • the availability of spoons is not the matter at hand

  • There are non-standard models of arithmetic. They follow the original first-order Peano axioms and any theorem about the naturals is true for them, but they have some wacky extra stuff in them like you mention.

  • Even if that were literally what it did, having a StackOverflow button would be pretty cool

  • I have a picture that proves the opposite

  • Why would a soldier want an enemy soldier to get killed when they have the same job title

  • Isn't there an NSFL tag? Idk, feels pretty obvious not to post this shit in communities that don't commonly host gore

  • Trump has been calling himself a war-time president (the war is unspecified) and saying how nice it would be if he could suspend elections and stay in power due to a war. This has been in the making for a while. If he's still alive in 3 years, he'll start a war to stay in power.

  • If you mostly play Souls games, I have to lean towards E33 due to the real-time parry mechanic. Both games are amazing and you won't regret playing either.

  • Which is really a roundabout way of saying a tensor is a multilinear relationship between arbitrary products of vectors and covectors. They're inherently geometric objects that don't depend on a choice of coordinate system. The box of numbers is just one way of looking at a tensor, like a matrix is to a linear transformation on a vector space

  • I've been using a reverse proxy on a Hetzner VPS pointing at my home plex server for years without issue. Maybe this only applies to people running the actual Plex software on a Hetzner VPS?

  • I care more about typesetting than the average feller, but LaTeX lets you use three hyphens (---) to form an em-dash. Didn't know any layouts had a key/chord for 'em.

  • As a dev, this type of thing could easily happen by mistake. But they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

The text of the document isn't where changes likely took place (if we assume this was a bug). The webpage is an annotated version of the constitution with links between headers and "essay" pages containing explanations, references, interpretations, and context. The webpage has dynamic and styled components. It's possible to break these things in any number of ways. But like I said, no reason to be charitable. If they want us to believe it was a mistake they can prove it.

Just as an example, one thing that could happen is the "essay page" for part(s) of Sections 9 and 10 could have been modified, with the new version having a different URL, and the static page generator was still pointing at the old URL which is no longer valid, which caused the whole section to be invalid, which caused them to be omitted (instead of failing noisily, due to developer incompetence).

  • Wayland support for multi-monitor configurations is better than X11. Whatever performance degradation you claim to experience is also a "you" thing, not a "Wayland" thing. There's an underlying issue with your setup.
