  • The only time I think this is okay is when you’re in a heat wave and it’s gonna be too hot later in the day(s) to actually be out working in it.

  • Disappointing doesn’t even feel like a strong enough word.

  • The best way to protect kids is to stop having them.

  • Glad you’ve had good experiences. Seeing them everywhere is irrelevant to my point, the physical locations still exist and they’re still “open” and accepting customers but it’s not realistic to actually get service there because it takes days to get medicine and then an hour or more wait at the store to actually get a pharmacist to hand it to you.

It’s all anecdotal, but in my region they’re dead.

  • What’s wild is from my perspective and location, CVS and Walgreens are already gone. They still have stores here but they’re so understafffed and poorly managed that they’re unusable.

  • Was fucking hilarious until they got in the car, that part was way more weird to me than funny but that could be because I’m reliant on the subtitles.

  • I think this is more like Nike firing Michael Jordan if basketball was going to be illegal to play in the next 9-18 months

  • Yeah especially without full feature parity with YouTube premium. This $7.99 price should omit music but everything else from premium should be included, and even that feels a little expensive.

  • lol wait, that’s just YouTube premium isn’t it?? and that’s existed for a long time already

Every previous YouTube premium post used to be inundated with people asking for a YouTube premium that didn’t include music because everyone already has music from Apple or Spotify. This is YouTube’s offering for that, except it’s a shitty version that takes away more than just music.

  • Yep. It doesn’t even have auto updates so unless you actively use a package manager, people are likely going to miss security updates anyway.

I don’t think it’s meant to be a mass adoption browser. It fills a niche and it fills it pretty well.

  • I just cancelled mlb.tv today before the new season renewal activated because I’m exhausted with trying to doge blackouts. I’ll just do something else with my time.

  • Yeah if default settings, mullvad is probably hard to beat if tor is off the table.

  • Firefox sync is E2EE too (or at least can be, mine is)

  • yeah basically echoing what everyone else has said. with a little bit of interaction it'll get rid of that stuff pretty quick and i really don't see much of it anymore except for really mainstream stuff like the occasional joe rogan clip or something.

  • With apple you’re limited to 5 sending addresses per domain, so no I cannot reply as the from address to most, but that hasn’t been an issue for me at all.

  • I’m fairly certain he’s at least somewhat relying on YouTube monetization so I’m not sure what the incentive would be to also upload on PeerTube?
