  • I'm curious if that would match the definition in the legislation. It could kind of be argued both ways.

    (M) Artificial Intelligence. "Artificial intelligence" means a machine-based system that, for explicit or implicit objectives, infers, from the input it receives, how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations, or decisions that can influence physical or virtual environments. "Artificial intelligence" includes generative artificial intelligence.(N) Generative Artificial Intelligence. "Generative artificial intelligence" means an automated computing system that, when prompted with human prompts, descriptions, or queries, can produce outputs that simulate human-produced content, including, but not limited to, the following: (1) textual outputs, such as short answers, essays, poetry, or longer compositions or answers; (2) image outputs, such as fine art, photographs, conceptual art, diagrams, and other images; (3) multimedia outputs, such as audio or video in the form of compositions, songs, or short-form or long-form audio or video; and (4) other content that would be otherwise produced by human means.(Source: P.A. 102-233, eff. 8-2-21; 102-558, eff. 8-20-21; 102-1030, eff. 5-27-22; 103-804, eff. 1-1-26.)

  • Also, some things are called AI that aren't. People are freaking out as soon as the term is mentioned without checking if it's actually some sort of model or if it's just a basic algorithm with a buzzword tossed on.

  • It does a number on my stomach. I had grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. I knew what I was doing. I'm feeling it, though.

  • You don't know that

  • (not so) fun facts:

    • The location of the hanging is in what is now Mankato, MN.
    • It is the home town of Mike Lindell (conspiracy theorist and mypillow guy)
    • It is also the home town of Tim Walz, current MN governor and 2024 democratic VP candidate.
    • I'm currently less than a half mile from the location
  • I am both Frog and Toad in this

  • My money's on "poorly"

  • They should make another one of those

  • 310°? damn, Core One holding me back again

  • The hair on the meme is killing me

  • I saw one of these recently, too, with Microsoft. Someone opened a 365 tenant and set the name of the tenant to "Thank you for your purchase of Microsoft Defender for $509.99. If you have any questions, please call [attacker controlled number]"

Then they set their exchange online to forward messages to the intended victim, and requested a password reset email. So the victim ended up receiving an email that came from microsoftonline.com that said "Your password has been successfully changed. Thank you, [scam text]"

  • They don't owe you shit

  • I got a free fridge from work when they were renovating and it was a damn good day. The one provided by the landlord was such trash.

  • I think in this context it's talking about "industry progress" which just means "whatever path the industry has taken"

  • The risk of multiple pairs of pants encountering a problem on the trip is low, but my ability to do something about it is much more hindered than when I'm at home, so better be ready in case it does happen.
