I consider myself a very logical person. I consider myself "religish". Mainly, the idea of death being the end makes me very anxious, so I choose to believe it's not, which inherently brings one to religion of some sort.
I deal with anxiety a lot. Actually, recently diagnosed. I often find myself struggling to discuss difficult topics, too. Here's what sometimes works for me.
You only have to be brave enough for as long as it takes to say what you need to say. After that, it's over. Just figure out the quickest way to say it while still communicating effectively. Amp yourself up, spit it out, and it's over.
We know that opioid overdose occurs with excessive opioid use. We know that police confiscate opioids all the time. Sure it's needed as evidence for a while, but it's gotta be destroyed eventually, right?
Why aren't they using that and giving them a ridiculous dose to cause them to OD? I'm talking like 10x what would normally be expected to kill the person.
Not that I'm in favor, but it feels like they aren't really trying.
