  • John Carpenter's "They Live" style?

  • As a non american what are those? Trying to google anything about the U.S. current news make me less informed, it seems SEO is crooked to make us abroad feel like nothing is happening

  • That is a very interesting point of view. We pile up experiences since the dawn of mankind. But I don't think it is that straight forward, in my view things are more cyclical than anything. I like the quote from Ecclesiastes for that POV better:

"There is nothing new under the sun".

  • Su-57

    Jump
  • Is that a cat? Did you take the picture yourself?

  • ELI5?

  • Having been on one of those positions I can say that I changed careers because of what you describe.

    Learning is a lifelong path...

What you were seeking were knowledgeable wise sages. They do exist but are very rare.

  • My problem with that is how far can you go? Will artist integrity shatter? Will people mod Thomas the train on movies? Will we get those god awfull billion page settings?

  • Really? Is there a name for finding guides to such wizardry?

  • There can be only one!

  • A Mexican Fender Tele?

  • Kill"em All?

  • Best is subjective once you are bigh enough and can deliever what you sell or not make a fool out of yourself.

But... Metallica is way too consistent in their discography to be anything other than huge. David Mustaine made them on Kill'em All and James Hetfield took the torch forth.

  • What a wholesome thread, people around the world sharing what makes them happy, I could relate to it all. Makes you see that we are all basically the same

  • Are you in the US? That is the vision I have of the 'American way'. In a way they are right, they get benefits from the system for playing the game like that.

What I don't like is that I see that culture permeating my country...

  • You are being naive. Who tells the story? Do they have an agenda they want to push?I can already hear youu typing: "That is why you should check multiple sources, etc".

I would reply that is literally impossible to follow all the minitua on everything and would ask if that is a sound strategy to take in life, using all your energy and time on a day trying to know all that is to know in the world; or is best to use your time and energy wisely to better your life and of those around you?

The US is not the center of the world, you are conditioned of thinking that something is important even if it doesn't apply tangibly to your life in any impactful way.Fascists use that rhetoric to trap people into believing whatever they are trying to sell.

Ps: I used to think like you, I was thaught it was the best thing to do, be open minded and what not. There is truth in that phrase but the best way to spin a narrative is taking a bit of truth and wraping it in shit

  • Voyager has it and I had no idea. Thanks to you I am already taking advantage of the feature...

  • If I have an .exe from the high seas that still needs to be unpacked/installed how do I deal with it?

Just started using Linux for playing, currently playing Dispatch (highly recommend it), used Lutris to first install the compacted .exe and then run the launcher .exe. Is there a better way to go about it?

  • What I used to do is google the name of the album and append to it "cover itunes". Usually I would find high quality images of the albums that way
