Like it or not, they are a Canadian owned and controlled company.
Unfortunately, can't say that about most of our media.
That said, I don't disagree with the need for a larger percentage (idealy all of it, but thats probably unrealistic) of Canadian media to be under Canadian control.
So when they introduced their EV models, there was no attempt to create a reasonably priced vehicle
Exactly.
That is the reason why I am currently driving the only non-ford I've ever owned (after owning 6 small 4 cylinder Fords)
If they had built an EV version of one of those smaller cars (Escort/Fiesta/Focus, etc) I would not currently be driving a Corolla.
And now that I have the Toyota, i will say it's a very good car and I don't regret this purchase. But Ford could have got my money if they didn't decide to ignore my market segment.
If they had made something like an EV Escort or Focus or Fiesta to compete with the Chev Volt/Bolt that would have sold to the urban comuuter crowd. Especially at the time when Chev pulled those models off the market for a few years.
there are a bunch of gig work companies whose costs are significantly lower than Canada Posts.
Costs that are lowered by underpaying their workers. Gig work companies typically treat workers as disposable/replacable contractors doing piecework, not salaried employees who deserve proper benefits and some measure of job security.
And stores wonder why I don't want to give them my phone number, email address, birthday, or any other information not strictly necessary for the transaction...
My penguin doesn't listen to what Microsoft wants.
