  • To be fair, the Milky Way is surrounded by a few remnants of smaller galaxies it previously collided with and absorbed.

  • That's what I would expect too, best case is they had the same tent to work.

I suspect they might not have had that.

  • Question, how does the cop radio it to the secret service?

  • Based on the article, the problem is that Github isn't being treated as legacy software, but isn't able to load a full file using the currently popular JS framework they are using.

  • Google.com pages found to have access to hidden Chrome API allowing hardware info such as CPU usage to be viewed

  • In the comments its not just chrome that is affected.

    Its apparently all Chromium browsers.

  • For a very long time, Salesforce sent login username and password through plain text in URL parameters.

To the point you could bookmark that URL and skip the login screen. You'd still have to contend with other login security(2FA and/or IP restrictions) but it was a gaping security hole they fixed relatively recently.

  • Best one I like is that an accountability bill enforcing existing laws caused the oil industry in Canada to freak out and wipe their bullshit.

  • Vote for my interests and Ill stop endless period bleeding. For men and women.

  • Who the Taliban call "terrorists"

    1. Anyone associated with the previous democratic government.
    2. Women.
    3. Anyone with a half decent education.
    4. Regional warlords that were(are?) bankrolled by the US and previously stabilized the country, protecting it from foreign interests like the Taliban.
  • If only he was the president and his party controlled at least the senate, then he could do something.

  • Not just early July. A full 16 days earlier than the previous record from 2005. The record before that was Allen(so the first hurricane of the season) all the way back in August 5 of 1980.

They also used to be rare, and are getting less so. Since 1924, only 39 are known. Since 1960, there have been 30. 8 of those(so ~20%) are since 2016.

  • Timing is about right for it to be a batch of newly minted CS grads getting into their first corporate jobs.

  • As I recall: Mitt Romney was the first public person who really came out and called Russia a threat in the US in the 2011/2012 election cycle. Which at the time he was laughed at because Russia was still seen as an ally and the major threat was China.

Now they are both openly hostile and Germany is cozying up to fucking China.

Germany: just do what the rest of the west (and China) does and bribe the Canadian government to hand over raw resources to you.

  • Thanks for the overview.

Frankly I think its more likely that China screwed up and got an older part of the moon than a newer one by mistake.

  • Better to analyze for vulnerabilities. Particularly with a number of governments using open source software hosted on github.
