  • I literally made that meme about 15 years ago, and I always feel proud when it unexpectedly pops up

  • Based on an overwhelming amount of economic studies of tariffs in the last 100 years, the EU should ignore it. Why enact tariffs on American goods and make life more expensive for Europeans? Studies show EU businesses will raise prices accordingly. The citizens will be worse off.

However, based on our knowledge of how politicians act, they'll take the bait and retaliate, thus making things more expensive for EU citizens.

  • is it not parody?

  • as if it's not the english making this complaint

  • americans are awful at protesting. they show up, cant figure out where to park, have no organizations, have lame chants (e.g. hey hey, ho ho, donald trump has go to go), present the same meaningless meme protest posters, leave tons of trash behind, and it last a few hours. Nothing is sustained for multiple days or weeks, and the solidarity is with people who already were with you.

  • Depends where. Some of the world loves America

  • Americans and most of the world don't care what's happening in Israel. As a yank living abroad and often traveling for work (conferences, support, sales) It's typically viewed as an extension of a 30 year conflict, extended on an 80 year conflict, extended on a 1500 year old conflict. In otherwords, it's "passe." it's boring because it's the norm. it's unfortunate.

  • Very few voters care about what is happening in Israel. A poll (I think msnbc) weeks before the election showed about 2% of voters considered it a "top 3" issue for them.
