Yes, there will be plenty of place for outdoor seating space and shade from trees and water and stuff once there no cars in the cities (and countries). Also good public transport if it's a bad knee day.
We are thinking about converting a cellar room into an apartment and talked to an architect about it and he said: "Yeah, officially, don't make it a new flat, because than you need to have 1,5(???) parking spaces to go along with it, what you do is make it part of one of your existing flats and then just sublet the new room". It kinda reminded me of somone talking about how in some US (or Canadian?) hospitals they don't let you go after giveing birth if you don't have a baby seat (for the car that you obviously have).
