  • I'd be interested to see that file if you're still willing. IMO separating everything into their own containers is a positive.

  • First they came for the jurors... :(

  • That's the 101 level course on how to launder campaign money to an individual.

  • She is objectively correct. Hopefully they weren't able to use a for cause strike on that one. She is evidence-based and accurate.

  • To your first point, yes, exactly. Congress mostly has to pass bills to exercise their power. For example: they have the authority to decide finances. They pass bills to (barely) get that done.

  • If only TikTok were paying ALEC and using their cycle-of-rage algorithm to drive gamers to Ben Shapiro. Gotta pay protection money to the mob if you want a business in this neighborhood.

  • And they also don't ban the private jets. I'd really love to have national legislation that a shithead can be recalled from any position if enough citizens demand it.

  • What do you think billionaires are bribing congress for? Regulatory capture keeps all the competitors out. Whereas actually fixing the problem of social media brainwashing would cost them money.

  • Damn. Thank you for the cc on that.

  • Really could not have a better demonstration of what a joke the CE label is.

  • Actually, let's go ahead and conflate it, since we aren't representatives of the government and this guy is obviously shady.

  • Seven more days, are you fucking kidding me? Doesn't meet the deadline, 10 more days and a lower requirement. Obviously fraudulent bond, 7 more days.

If any of us had lost a lawsuit from any state, our accounts would be drained and assets seized after failing the first deadline.

  • I loved Slay the Spire but eventually having the same enemies every game and the luck required to build a solid deck wore me out. Luckily I slayed the spire once. It was as the Defect, that's like the easiest build because the automated orbs blast the hell out of everything. But it counts and I can finally rest.

Anyway, looking forward to Spire II, will probably buy it the instant it is available.

  • For the record I would much rather have the exponential fines than this $1,000 joke of a punishment.

  • Yes but that point comes sooner for the poor person than the wealthy person. We should remove inequality in the justice system, not just work around it.

  • I don't think those USB cases are priced realistically at all. For what they're asking I may as well just buy hardware to build a NAS box.

  • Just make all fines proportional to net worth. I don't want poors to be fucked for life for the same behavior that an affluenza sufferer would just pay $100k and be done with. Make contempt like 1% of net worth, everyone can choose how much it is worth to act a fool in court.

  • You think Repubs will respect a precedent?
