Disabled granfather, I write code.

  • It would not be persistent. You can download a workspace to an encrypted file. I have plans to make a node.js server for workspace permanence.

  • No, just AES-GCN encrypted WebRTC

  • Yes lol.

  • They would have to guess the roomcode and password, it's pretty difficult to brute-force.

I'm planning some sort of auth system, but not sure how I wanna do it yet.

  • Rocket chat needs a server, and doesn't e2e encrypt by default are this biggest differences.

  • Working on it, capacitor doesnt work because it's webview doesnt work with WebRTC

  • That's fair, the project is about a month old, the electron releases will get an installer for some platforms.

  • Yes, it takes an initial connection for discovery. The peers need to know how to find each other.

  • I've been babysitting my granddaughter, just got on the laptop.

  • Yes it is, and I will add it, somehow I thought I did.

  • I'm working on getting an android version up, don't have a mac so I can't make an IOS version. It works great in mobile browsers, I have been testing on mbile during development.

  • Not currently, would love to have it working under tor though.

  • You know, I'm not sure

  • There was 1000 people about when I signed up.

  • It was the only server that was accepting when I joined. I still have applications at a few, but never got approved. Signed up on startrek.website yesterday. I was motivated by the ddos more than any thing else.

  • I worry about the sustainability, though. The current model of donations, volunteer mods, and so on is working as intended, and the experience is flourishing. I see this model standing up for at least a couple of years as-is, barring any major changes of any kind.

Reddit was profitless and largely ran by volunteers for free for over a decade. I believe we can do it again.

  • How do they run away when there's a shooter in the cafeteria?
