  • i will make it, but i won’t tell you

  • 100%

  • hernia mesh brother! that's a great idea, I'm stealing it! my man

  • yep, same here except i think power-source makes a slight difference to the degree of cyborginess. maybe we need a scale. maybe something like:

    1. caveman with tools, self-powered
    2. ancient person using naturalistic propulsion methods (wind, animals) for vehicles (ships, chariots) etc
    3. engine (steam, electric, gas) powered entities (vehicles, factories, aircraft)
    4. direct nervous system integration for thought-based control
    5. shared consciousness
  • Neil Harbisson is the world’s first officially recognised human cyborg

fucking bullshit. stephen hawking couldn't function or communicate without his chair & computer. you’re gonna say that doesn't count? then i don’t trust your judgement

  • those ai projects will be countering the climate change projects! government at its usual

  • i was trying to find a link to Apache's chat server that we used to power cruise ship chat applications w/out internet. i didn't find it but this list i found has some neat projects listed, so i thought i would share that at least: https://medevel.com/26-os-chat-servers/ (no affiliation)

  • box field took me a second but i snorted out loud! lmao

  • the marketing team would cry themselves to death!!!

  • commence marketing team weeping for weeks on end

  • noted! are you thinking 2 hours is long enough, or should we really try for three?

  • my best friend in high school (also a nerd) gave me a shirt that says that over 20 years ago! now my son wears it ha. thanks thinkgeek!

  • not at all. are you expected to remember it? would it even be possible to memorize for most? not even close to the same thing, passwords have very low entropy which causes all their problems

  • i imagine MS just hard coded a random license key into the build image and it expired. the issue doesn't say exactly tho

  • i am thinking this issue description is implying that EVERYONE using the windows build image was broken. MS probably had a hard coded license in the build image which expired. idk, could be reading it wrong

  • don’t give me hope like that

  • typical Azure. duct tape and bubble gum holding everything together

  • i think that's when you copy and paste text

  • there's literally zero technical reason that a user couldn't reset a private key the same as a password. after all, you just pointed out they are almost the same.

edit: if you'd like to see an example create SSH keys for your GitHub account and then reset them
