  • We are daily bombarded with news on what the ruling elites have decided to enforce and that it affects our living, yet instead of concentrating on the mechanism we split hair between us on whether we are for or against their decisions. Nobody is left being concerned on what it would be like for us to announce our decisions that would affect their lives.

    There is no talk here whether we should act to prevent this or not, just whether we approve or disapprove their actions. The motive? Our disapproval has little if any effect on them, they will keep deciding, they will enforce, and we will comply, because we know no other way.

    I say we change the agenda, stop making their news headlines our center for discussion, let’s keep focusing on our headlines, till they start addressing our agenda.

  • To do so Europeans will either shop for US weapons or leave NATO and seek their own defense systems. As the late members quickly found out, and their populations don't like it, much of their existing military is obsolete, and the expense of complying with NATO membership will severely diminish their "traditional" welfare state, who has been more the target of US policy than Russian blockade from the markets. That is for Fins and Swedes good bye socialized health care and education, hello insurance and industrial indoctrination.

    Germany doesn't even count on anything, it is still an occupied territory of the US, its health system reflects this satellite US in Europe territory, Last Germans to react and resist this occupation died in prison in white isolation rooms (Still in love with Ulrike despite of ideological separation - dreaded vanguardism).

    If people can't understand history they will never understand moments and still pictures from it. The US still, since the 30s, is fighting communism in the very narrow minded way it perceives it. The US is just a mean barking dog of the global industrial/banking cartel. Not much more than that, sad but wonderful people serving that dog and keeping it alive.

  • Please correct this, not all of your food, all of the food sold by industrial outfits, even as bio-organic industrial products. If there is one place in the planet you can live without this it is the US, plenty of land, few people, plenty of resources to afford healthy nutrition. Compare it with hell holes like the Netherlands that have higher population density than Queens NY and there is not a square inch left to grow anything to eat, let alone in an artificial dried up swamp toxins have no means of draining off.

  • There hasn't been an ad for alcohol on US TV for decades and this had no effect, other than saving alcohol industries for wasting money competing with each other in that area.

  • Scientifically we are not equal in this respect, most studies show during all ages and populations on earth there is a specific percent of the population that needs substances to control behavior. Whether it is smoking opium, sniffing coke, drinking wine, or injecting anti-depressants there are those born with a tendency to find such escape.

    In the age where industry X can patent substance Y and sell it at 10000xcost .. there will be a motive for making competitor substances look bad.

  • Is there a way to trace big-pharma money to WHO decision makers? Have there been any reports on discovering such "flow"?

    Isn't it obvious that all "medical advise" on addictive legal substances is pressure on a huge market to shift to psychotropic medication for which profitability is 100s of times more controllable?

    The more they squeeze the population (nearly 30%) away from cigs, alcohol, and street drugs, the more they gain in anti-depressants. And there seems no effort what so ever to squeeze the street drug addict population away from anything, seriously!

    The WHO just wants a piece of the pie, and the more they act like this the more likely you will see the US becoming best friends with WHO elite again. So the blackmail worked!

  • People are not under sanctions, and no linux developer worked for the Russian government, and since when has a war affected who works on what open source project. There are wars all over the place all the damn time ..

    I am not talking about the sanctions, I am talking about the additional remarks on how nationalist and racist both the leaders of the project appeared to be from their statements.

    A few months ago (Oct 18 2024) Linus and his sidekick signing the kernel, not only admitted they were going to comply with US Stat.Dep. doctrine and remove developers (on long term good standing) on the basis of nationality and national origin of the employers, they exploded into a rant, clearly admitting to being nationalist and in distrorting history to fit their rhetoric. In greenwashing nationalism (you can say racism underlying this national hate speech) into the base of most open and free code, nationalism now is not free as in beer it is free as in "freedom"? This is as large of a difference as socialism and ethno-socialism.

    The linux community .. the end user ... DOESN'T give a damn, only wants the latest and badest of development in his gaming machine.

    Once you make a slip and slide exception you can't prevent any more in the future. First will be "justified nationalism", then "not so justified racism", then "sexism", then will be the gas chambers for anyone who forks anything away from Führera (Fedora + Führer).

    If using any kernel later than 10 18 2024 I see it as the nationalist/racist fork. I expect the original to continue by developers who don't use race/ethnicity/gender as a basis for accepting/rejecting contributors.

    Vanguardism is not a Marxist attribute alone, some anarchists if not most entertain this tendency however contradictory to libertarian principles and values. I think Malatesta and Emma Goldman indirectly placed criticism to those that adopt it. What it means to reject it is a deep libertarian (anti-capitalist of course) issue that few realize and recognize.

    If there is ever going to be any synthesis between vanguard revolutionaries and those libertarian proposals the praxis zapatistas have engaged in 31 years and the EZLN in 41.5 years should be carefully understood.

  • When you ask such a question within the circle making the decision you get a few defensive answers and then you get a storm of fan-boys/dogs defending their masters' choice. Objectiveness tends to get lost in a discussion on who is asking and their mother.

    So I thought of asking in a more neutral environment, and reddit r/linux is not it.

  • In order for MS and Apple/ios to block people from booting linux on "their" machines, they came up with the secure-boot scheme. Commercial puppets and traitors of open free software rushed to be part of the scheme so all the rest of the linux distributions couldn't boot but their systems could.

    Now we are accused of being elitists and not alarm new users of true garbage distributions?

    If anyone is stuck trying to disable secure-boot and couldn't it is their own damn fault for buying garbage machines. Gigabyte (not Gigabit) has created some monstrosities of bios software that look like a video game and it is hard to count in how many places you have to disable the crap in order to boot open and free linux.
