Some of those mods aren't active for spans of several months, but are opposed to giving up any control on their communitiies.
I read a lot of the userbase’s mindset as sort of “I aspire to be a rock star programmer, check me out I’m awesome” Thats interesting, I didn't notice that. I may avoid moving it to .ee, its the second largest server, and while its better i'd like to bring it somewhere smaller.
Nothing major, it just holds most of the communities on lemmy, so its a big point of failure. It also has some slowdowns.
I don't think hexbear in itself is that bad, i do think its a bad starting point for beginners though.
While I wasn't referring to Palestine specifically, I feel it would have been tangentially more preferable, but still awful for Palestine. I think she would have been on par with biden on trans rights.
Because voting dem results in less harm overall. Its easier to fix a system when the system isn't disappering people.
